    Morning All
Still barking well, but seem to be breathing a little easier, and head only half full of cotton wool. Out if my list of jobs got the larger of the Minion hats made. But not decorated. Will do the other one first, then finish them both.
Think I will get going and go to town, to pick up the steamer and take a parcel back to Debenhams, calling at Ald! and delivering cards on the way back, that should just leave tv Veg shop and some puff pastry sheets on the list.
Didn't go go the Carol concert last night, though folks wouldn't appreciate being spluttered all over. Watched The Works choir final which was good.
((Hugs)), spoons, etc. all round. Hope you managed to see off the migraine LW and are enjoying your hairy hooligan. Sprocker, presume is a Springer & Cocker mix?

    Take care everyone. DG

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?
  • Good Morning all,and a special hug for Jools at this sad time.
I have to pick DGS Henry up at 1015 as he is going to an Ice Skating party at the local rink as one of his pals has his birthday today. After dropping him there I will pop into eldest Dds and drop off the pressies to go under her tree for her house and have a quick cuppa while I wait for Henry to ring me for picking up.(DD only lives around the corner from the Ice Bowl at Gillingham)
Then I shall borrow his muscle and he can help put three dining chairs into the back of my car for taking to his Mum's house for the Christmas period.(DD always runs short of chairs and hasn't really the room to keep my spare ones.I have two stacking chairs under the stairs and one upstairs in my spare room she can borrow.Drop the chairs and Henry back at his house and come home to sort out the stuff for baking.I have around 6 dozen sausage rolls to make for tomorrow and a dozen or so mince slices.I'll have the wireless on while I bake as I enjoy listening to Radio Four in the afternoon anyway.Apart from that its going to be an easy day.My son-in-law is off until the New Year although DD has to work today. So I can get on with the baking without having to amuse grandsons :):)
Right time for a large cuppa and some porridge before starting the run down to Christmas.
If I don't get a chance to get back before then I do hope you all have a very Happy Chrismas and a Peaceful and Prosperous New Year
    Cheers everyone

    Morning my dears,

Sitting having breakfast by the tree having waved DH off for his last day at work till 2014. He has leave to use up so now is the time!

DS1 & 2 arrived yesterday, and will help me in the house today putting the empty decoration boxes etc back up in the over wardrobe cupboard so that we are as clear as we can be.

It's wet and windy here so the boys can go out and collect my cake from the bakery :o.

Still a few gifts to deliver, then we're ready to enjoy ourselves.

    Hugs to all x

  • Morning :)
Need lots of coffee after busy weekend. Plans today are to collect turkey from farm shop, bake and decorate Xmas biscuits with kids and get through mount wash more. It's a slow old process hanging stuff on aired to dry when weather is bad like it is today. Means changing beds is a several day event to wash, hang and dry.

Anywa I am rambling. :o weather is vile so any hopes of a nice winter picnic with kids isn't going to happen. I think a carpet picnic might be in order instead with a Christmas film.

Right need to get a shufty in before one man and his dog is collecting their turkey's.

Stay safe out there in wind and rain xx

Hugs and spoons all round xx

Ps. Tru I think your wreath is FAR nicer than the Attic24. I confess I find some of the stuff she does as a bit OTT :o

    Morning all,

Wet and windy here, so washing is draped all over the house again, it can stay there till tomorrow then it all has to go away.

I now have 9 coming now for xmas day, so will have to find another chair from somewhere, I think there might be one in the shed, will send OH to look.

Got all the presents wrapped yesterday, and deep cleaned the kitchen, lounge, utility and downstairs loo, so will just need to whip over then tomorrow. Today we need to do upstairs and the study and conservatory downstairs.

Shopping being delivered tonight, and I will then need to make the base of the cheesecake and fridge that overnight. Mum is collecting the turkey today and will drop that off.

Meeting two friends from my old job today, it will be lovely to see them and they are the only two who have kept in touch, so will have a gossip and nice lunch out.

Have good days all and hugs to Jools xx

    Morning lovelies

Going for a marathon "sort as much out as I can then I can enjoy christmas eve" day today :D
Visit to my folks to pick up the rib of beef for our christmas dinner - they live near a fantastic butchers called Chadwicks in Wigan so its worth the trip to get the best meat then dad has booked us in for a lunch so its looking like a really good day. Going to stock the freezer with a few bits from there as well so debit card will be taking a bit of a battering.

After a scrummy lunch its back home to do a weeks worth of things I should have done yesterday or do the minimum and shove the rest of it into the office till after christmas (2nd option for more likely)

Hope you all have a great day and survive the supermarkets biggest shopping day of the year :eek:

    Morning all,

well all cards have been delivered. Food has been bought and is waiting to be eaten.

Pressies, wrapped, tree dressed. I'm just waiting for the day itself now.

Hubby is still working though 'Youngest' broke up from college days ago.

House is clean and tidy and so very festive.

Looking forward to the day itself.

    Have a good day all,

Sorry for delay in posting. It has been the week from hell.
Anyway Im now sat immobilised as having a transfusion - my usual thanks to all who donate x

Really not ready but what will be will be so have to just chill. We have had terrible problems with my parents but the upside is they realise that things have to change and dramatically. Also my youngest son is very poorly again (depression and self harm) so that has been heart wrenching.

Anyway if I don't get on again hope you all have a lovely day x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Just saying it like it is. She just puts too much crap on, less is more IMO. Still rather chuffed I've made your day :D

Picked up turkey. Got back to discover half of Xmas lights aren't working. So dragged kids back out to home decor shops that sell lights. Seemingly all have been packed away so I only have red and yellow lights working on my tree. B*gger

It's chaos out there, weather awful. Am holed up in the house, about to have carpet picnic with the kids and I don't plan on moving again til Boxing Day :rotfl:

Molly hope transfusion gives you much needed boost. Sorry you've had problems with parents. Hugs for your DS xxx
