Flying catch up, - guess what were still at the caravan - although popped home to choose the wallpaper and paint - were having lavender cupcake on the kitchen walls.

been home 2 hrs - non stop calls to ins, builders, contracters - catch up and pay some bills.

Did try a mobile dongle but where we're staying the only place apparently you can get internet is under the shelter by the bar.... (I wish) thou bar was open at weekend.

Thou things have def progressed via the claim, as the ins company have refunded us the £250 excess due to the inconvience.... what was a 2 to 3 day job - be 2 weeks at weekend - all they have left to do is paper and paint the kitchen....

Bit of an update - there was a near love interest from holidays!! xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

Hi mum2one - near love interest , come on spill the beans.

Sorry I haven't posted lately, I'm on a mission to sell all the unwanted items in the house and just as I think I'm doing ok. Fleabay has a free listing weekend and I empty the house looking for things :-)

Well my pain is still the same after fall. Tried doctors, chiropractioner oesteopath. I pay anyone to sort it. That's all the say is you have CPS and you can expect pain!!!! That's not an answer!

Rufus- good to see you doing done home decorating to modernise your house. I'd like to do it with mine but we have it for sale and afraid to do anything dramatic. We had viewings this week but nothing yet. We actually have someone who wants our house but their house is not selling. We gave them 6 months but now we have to crack on and try selling it again. We have a house ready to goto but can't do anything with that until this one is sold.

Angela - how's the love interest going , hope it's going ok for you. And did you work out a way of making more money? Cholesterol a funny thing mines 8.2 , I'm on tablets but they say it's heditary . So there we go

Katiehound- thanks for the info on the boxes. I have been collecting all year. The toothbrushes were 2 for 9p in sainsbobs. The toothpaste 25p in mr m . The little notpads 9p in A . And I have picked up pens / pencils along the way ;-) and I have lots of toiletries and practical things ready
I have to check the list see what else to get. I usually have lots of things in ready. As when people are going to these places I make a box up for them .

Hi lulu 92 - I have no idea with the fruit soaking. I usually soak it for 24 hrs and then make the mince pies and freeze them. Uncooked . Just cook then as required. I too have people who ask for things the last minute. And I hate to say no.

    Hi all

Mum2one, hope all ok and looking forwards to big update - especially about your personal life.

Hi Mrs M, so you're reading more than your crafts?

Susan, sorry to hear your pain management isn't going to plan. Hope your house finally gets sold if you've been waiting a long while.

I didn't realise cholesterol could be hereditary.

My love interest is rather peculiar this time - no drama, no stress. However .................there is a MASSIVE problem of another kind. So I know I should end it. I tried numerous times but always give in.

Meanwhile, I've stopped socialising and also hardly ever reply to the texter so I have created space to think.

I've also blocked most friends on the phone but they can still text. I had a young man try calling me a few times and when he finally text it was about a problem - lost his job. I thought 'oh no I can't face anyone else's problems' so just text a reply of places he could try. But I'm not letting him come round.

I contacted social services about a job I saw advertised where you have people in your house either daily, overnight or live with you. As I'd been considering a lodger but hated the idea of strangers I thought I'd find out more about this. A social worker is coming round next Friday to speak with me. It could take up to 6 months to get this going so I'm looking into a plan B.

I've also gone back to the art and craft club (after a very long gap) and also did a craft demo on Saturday at the church in the next village along, (middle of nowhere). For the children they did teddy throwing (with parachute of plastic bags) off the top of the tower. The first one drifted across the road into a field so people had to climb over a high stone wall to get it.

I was making a Nursery and Baby things shop (the shop was ready made - Dolls House Emporium, small flat backed hanging wall shop, mahogany with bay windows). I also planned to make a flower stall but didn't feel like it after the baby shop so I did some drawing and just wandered around talking to people and ate a buffet lunch and cream tea but at my table, the alternative was at table and chairs amongst the graves which didn't appeal to me as people I know are buried there. I found out the location of the Green Man carving on the ceiling but didn't have my glasses so couldn't see it.

What are you all up to today?

Hello everyone dd is back. How are you all? Well done mum2one on the win. angie marvellous re the thrupenny bit but you're right about there being something else - a second thrupenny bit :rotfl: one is for mum's cracker (half a sixpence) and the other for gbf's opera box - thrupenny opera. At beginning of hols went to a musical with mum - betty blue eyes, based on private function. Pack of pork scratchings? Currently finishing off 21 small pressies for dd2's 21st. She loved the knitted blanket but i love buying silly little things too. Her fave books were the tiger who came to tea and the very hungry caterpillar, so 2 of the gifts are a tiger fridge magnet and a wooden caterpillar, both bought in granada. Then after spain we were in london for a day. Went to a lovely toy shop in covent garden - sells lots of cheap silly toys. Tomorrow will finish with some of her fave foods then wrap all 21 in green tissue paper - green is her fave colour.

    Hi all

Dundeedoll - your DD will be so pleased with all the time and effort you put into those gifts. I hope you all had a lovely time away.

I didn't understand the reference to pork scratchings. Please enlighten me.

If I forget the 2nd coin, please remind me. I will post when I find it as I just shoved the box of old stuff somewhere and hope I can find it again (still haven't sorted out all the clutter from the other house).

back home - thou got to have the contractors back theyve messed the kitchen up... not a happy bunny esp as we've been out 2 weeks!

    the holiday love interest!

no 1- Was 28 and an entertainer (thou I just laughed at him), he was a sweetheart and was really good with Miss hoodie, - he came in pool and played ball with us, and some other kids - not the best when your wearing a bikini top! then he stayed and did water aerobics with us... he's asked me to go back to see him!

no 2 - this was very weird... there was photographers at hotel, knew one from the previous many visits - half way through the holiday the one I didn't know changed - the new one took photo of me and Miss hoodie really good, - always stopped for a natter when i saw him. The last ngt were leaving the bar - usual good ngt kiss both cheeks during that he moves in 4 full blown action. He asked me if i'd like to go for a coffee on the Sunday - sorry but were going home - he'll wait for me, will i stay in touch, when can I come back, Miss Hoodie and I can just get a flight and stay with him...
(he's in his 30s got a daughter of about 7 in the UK)

    But no on both ocassions...xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

As we have a burst sewer in town easy parking on market day as folk puzzle out how to avoid a major road closure! so of course I trotted into Wilko!

Clearly new stationery and childrens art/craft ranges coming as lots of empty spaces on the shelves awaiting new stock.
As a result lots of cheap goodies suitable for birthday bags, tombola, shoe box appeal, Christmas stockings! reduced to silly prices .
e.g: velvet mask kit to paint- 25pence
Moshi stationery set (pen, pencil, ruler, eraser, sharpener) 25 pence
Galaxy gang chunky felt tips- 25 pence
Friendly fairy sticker roll- 25 pence
    Rub & Reveal pack- 25pence
    pack 2 CD/DVD markers 25 pence
pack of 1 gold &1 silver pen 50 pence
Ring binders (music equipment graphics) 50 pence
Needless to say items flying off the shelf. We don't have a large store so space is limited, perhaps that's why more than normal items so cheap?

Other non reduced stationery designs 3 for 2.
Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!
