Anglea - Picking up from point Dundee Doll mentioned re pillows etc - going back to my friend, she was advised to take all her bedding (quilt and pillow) to a laundrette and do them on a 90C wash... (some home washing machines will take a single quilt in), she did it herself (cheaper than a service wash) she paid about £14 inc the tumble drying.

Also for your pillows - you should have 2 pillow cases on each pillow and wash these both as normal, (the 2nd pillowcase (inner one)) without sounding gross, stops some of the dead skin and grime etc getting to the pillow.

have you changed your washing powder, deordrant, air freshner, soap, shampoo etc, - even if its staying with the same brand but trying a different version,

What we do with our wahing machine, once a week, run an empty programme, (longest there is) and put this on 90C, no powder etc - the hotness helps to sterilise the drum and helps stop build up of grease in the pipes (our washing machine is on daily). xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

Thanks for the replies Dundeedoll and Mum2one. I want to get to bed early so will reply tomorrow as have blood tests 9.10 am. You will laugh as I only just got up, had a nap in the evening, I don't know if was the gardening or what but I've felt like this for about a week ever since I stopped going out as before.

Goodness mum2one that sounds like a fitness to practise issue. I'm sure you have already but make factual record -no personal interpretation, just the facts for your complaint.

Miss Hoodies finished her SATS today, so thats a big relief...

I had the emergency dentist appointment, broke a tooth a weekend, bless him, he's put a temp filling in and got to go back nxt month for the proper filling.. there was me trying not to stalk the dentist!

My knitting going well, one back and 1 front of cardi (not needed till Aug) but needed to get motivated.

Miss Hoodie really pleased as said after half term she could go into town with her friend, on the provision that we drive them in - hoping that dad buy me lunch this time!!), so were close by if they need us, then drive them back, - theres been about 6 calls tonight deciding what shops to visit.... the memories of the 1st time being allowed into town with your friends.

I was 11, went with my best mate, had £2 in £1 notes, we thought we were rich and I always remember buying my mum some handcream for 50p as a thank you for letting me go... xx

Lol at feeling rich Mum2one. I remember having a pot full of old pennies, there was just under £1 worth in there and it weighed a ton. My Dad's friend came round and I showed him and said I needed 3 pence more to get a £1 and he went in his pocket and found me three more pennies. I felt like I was a millionaire lol.

I am having my stitches in my nose out today, glad they are coming out as they are irritating me now. Going to see my Dad too after, he needs a hair cut. No sewing done as been putting the new flooring down. Done the front room, hall and bathroom now. Got enough to do the dining room but Harvey keeps using it as a toilet where he cant always get out to the garden in time so no good doing in there while we still have him with us. He has gone to the vets this morning for check up but we know the tumour is getting bigger and bigger, its the size of a football now.

Hope you are all well, I am reading the posts as much as I can even if I dont get to post often xx

I am shattered! Very busy week last week. Mum gave me her ticket for an opera saturday, friend took me to henry iv wednesday (admit to watching some with my eyes shut) and last night was the art graduate show. I should be finishing my chapter but i am just toooooo tired.
Gbf came round this morning cos he's dojng his photo club homework - a day in the life of... (And his partner hates having his photo taken) so can you believe it today was his first time ever in l!dl
He gave me a spring for mum's musical crackers - jerry springer the musical :rotfl:
Have cut the lawn, emptied the bins, walked the dogs, done the washing and now just having 5 minutes rest on the unmade bed. Have a fab weekend everyone

Yeah, I have been busy too, I have a craft fair today, hoping it will give me a chance to have a sit down in the sunshine (got cream and an umbrella) and rest as its all day long and knowing my luck there wont be many punters lol. OH is off tomorrow and Tues, expect it will be work work until he goes back. My back is killing me so I am not doing any flooring as cant get down there.

Miss Hoodie got Star of the week for doing so well in her maths with her sats,

She's also had her wobbly tooth come out tonight... so an expensive weekend... thats as well as hol money,,

Get the flags out - we finally have a date for the ceiling and bathroom flooring to be fixed.. they reckon it take 2/3 maybe 4 days to do... they told us to find a local hotel and there pay... but you all know the saga we had.

Finally found suitable location, nearly had heart attack £550 for 3 ngts (2 rooms) ins company said yes... plus there give us £35 a day towards food.

had brain wave - rang a couple of local caravan parks, - found one about 15 miles away - newish static, all bedding included (just £10 for the dog), £225 thatd for 5 days 4 ngts... the ins company said yes they were over the moon that we got less that half price.

I'm putting Santas challenge on early as day of packing tomorrow, - Miss Hoodie and I are away - with friends, break do us gd, I know we had the big hol but with all disasters this is what we both need. xx
