Hi PD,
Just read your diary from the beginning - I'm rather envious of the OPs you're able to make, we're just chipping away slowly, but we have reduced the term rather than the monthly payment and can only overpay in chunks of £500 or more.
Was surprised no one had spotted the proposal, although you had snuck it in and then asked a boring (but no doubt important) question about lunch breaks! Congratulations!! Hi themadvix  our OPs have grown year on year as we've been really disciplined abut sending most of my annual pay increase mortgage-ward. Since our re-mortgage last year, we've been in a position to OP a lot more than we could during the first 5 years or so. This is the first time where we've really felt like we are able to make a substantial difference to our end date month by month. But we wouldn't be where we are now without those seemingly pitiful OPs at the start of our journey. They do all add up, so keep heart and keep chipping away.
I'll come and have a nosey at your diary in a mo. Thanks for the advice about the ring shopping. I've seen a lot more that I DON'T like than what I do. Fortunately I'm in no great rush.know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -

one set of reports done and another nearly finished. I've made overnight oats for breakfast, baked a batch of sponge cakes and am about to make salad boxes for lunch.
Then it will be bath time and an early night. I'd being lying if I said I was excited at the prospect of going back to work tomorrow. That said, I did almost do a little jig earlier at realising how little of my planner was left. 13 weeks and countingknow thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -

Sadly the nature of our profession is that you don't get much of a life during term time. I'm not wishing my life away so much as the drudgery of the daily grind!know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
