10 ads listed on Gumtree and a few items kondoed. Hopefully this will free up space and bring in some £ss for the garden project in the summer.
I'm trying to catch up with the KM thread on OS and, as I hoped, it is giving me kondo urgesknow thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -

I think you have to resolve yourself to the fact that it is an ongoing project rather than something you'll achieve in days. I personally find that the more I do, the more I want to do. Whilst there is still much to do, I can now see the fruits of my labour. It has also completely changed my attitude to shopping, which controls what comes into the house.
I'm setting myself the challenge of getting rid of 100 items this half term.know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
Cookie your place sounds mad!
Hey Pavlovs. Welcome to Easter!
Love the decluttering. I am back to selling on ebay but only because they offered me a ten pound voucher and the children keep outgrowing things!0 -
happy new tax year eve one and all.
Half term, whilst productive, is proving blissful. The breathing space is much needed. I've written a list of all the marking etc I need to get done, but currently plan on ignoring it until next week.
I'm chipping away at the decluttering. Upstairs is looking much tidier and I'm nearing 40/100 on my decluttering challenge. I may give a faceache selling group a whirl to see if I can shift the things that aren't moving on Gumtree.
Hope to get out into the garden this afternoon and give the lawn its first haircut of the year. I hope the sun is shining where you areknow thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
It is hard to believe that the holidays are nearing their end. They say time flies when you're having fun!
The house is looking tidier and we've tackled a few little jobs. We now have curtains and wall art in the lounge (5.5 years in... you can't rush these things) and it feels much more homely. Kondo-ing continues at a very leisurely pace.
I've done bits and bobs for school, and will need to sit down on the weekend and blitz through 70odd reports so that I don't start on the backfoot on Monday.
We've demolished a small retaining wall in the garden and have begun excavating to see how much work is really involved in us lowering the level of the lawn. Despite the effort involved, I still prefer the idea of having the garden on one level. OH not so convinced. We need to excavate a chunk anyway to make room for our patio, so in the first instance the only major dilemma is how to store the soil that we *may* need to re-use elsewhere in the garden.
We've begun ring shopping but I'm yet to see anything I like. They are all either too blingy or eye-wateringly expensive. We're off to town on Friday as part of OH's birthday treat so we'll no doubt do some more browsing then.
Going to try and empty the ironing basket and then tidy up the accounts.know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
