  • Yep, SIM was recovered too. T Mobile blocked that one though and sent a new one to my home address, which is here also. Now looking at getting screen fixed, phone insured and a way of getting my moneys worth out of it! Thanks for all the advice on here.

    Don't waste money on insurance.
  • I do wonder that...but a £250 phone is worth covering for £6 a month surely?

Maybe it was £250 new, but is unlikely to cost more than a half of this amount second hand and repaired.
    £6*12=£72.
How likely are you to damage/lose it? And how likely are you to get paid by the insurance company should this happens?

In fact the best you can do is just to sell it as you don't even need this phone. You can't afford paying £130ish bill, but are prepared to 'spend', say, £125 on this phone and then £6p.m. on the insurance.

If you're referring to me there, thanks very much, no I wouldn't commit insurance fraud to get a new phone. T Mobile block the handset anyway, so the old one would be useless

Tell them that you recovered it and ask to unblock.
I am pretty sure it was advised above, but you seem to not like reading replies.

And why were you "looking at getting screen fixed, phone insured and a way of getting ... moneys worth out of it" if you knew it was blocked and weren't going to get it unblocked?

Jeez, you live up to your name. Kinda regret asking this question, with miserable sods like you having a pop all the time.

As I said, they blocked the old SIM to stop him using it, and sent me a new one (which was unblocked obviously) so when I put that SIM in the recovered phone it worked...understand?

I do understand - unlike you, as you said that the handset was blocked.
A sim card and the handset can be blocked independently (as it was also explained above). A blocked phone doesn't work with any sims. A blocked sim can't be used in any phones... understand?
