  • I sincerely doubt he works directly for Sky..

Fortunately for the customer and unfortunately for Sky, door-to-door sales was fully "in-housed" about 2 years ago to try to cut down on these kind of issues.

However this might have been allowed to change, the only way to find out for sure is to email a complaint.

The OP has already done this (twice)

Many thanks, refreshing to get some positive response from someone who knows what they are talking about!!

My "discussions" with Sky are currently ongoing & appear to be making positive progress. Will post an update upon resolution.

So, basically, anyone who agrees with you "knows what they are talking about" and anyone who doesn't is "smug"? Okaaay:D

Even if the offer was genuine, why would anyone buy at the door when they can get the same or better offers online, and keep the commission for themselves via a cashback site?
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Out of curiosity what is the current 'list price' of 'everything that Sky sell', I presume this is the top TV pack with Sky Sports and Sky Movies, telephone line rental with anytime calls, and Fibre broadband...£75 a month seems a lot, so if that's a good deal, what are some people paying ?

It's rather more than £75 a month for all three services, HD, and Mullti-Room even as a bundle, but that's not what this thread is about…
