Not posted for a while but I've still been on here lurking about following everyone else.;) I've been paid and paid all my bills, morg, CC's etc - will wait till the end of the month to update the outstanding balance once the morg interest has gone on. I've kept to my weekly budgets since I last posted but only just and at least I haven't gone over. Things still not good at work but I am back into exercising which is helping me feel a bit better in myself.Started this journey in 2013 (on a previous diary) with approx 94,000 total of morg and debt combined

My savings have dipped a bit as I've had some jobs done in the house - I've not updated for a while but i'm still here and still sticking to budgets etc - Looking forward to another month of money saving and seeing the morg ./ debt reduceStarted this journey in 2013 (on a previous diary) with approx 94,000 total of morg and debt combined

Not updated for ages - just a quick pop in to show my new redcued outstanding balances - I've been DIY ing again over the last month and I've also moved the CC debt to a longer term zero percent offer so had to pay the moving fees, which is why I haven't paid off as much. I've now paid off £4717 !! Can't wait for next month which will see me go over £5000 cleared -Started this journey in 2013 (on a previous diary) with approx 94,000 total of morg and debt combined

I've just updated my signature to reflect the new amount paid off and the total outstanding balance - nice to see the figure drop below 85000! Also done well on the savings this month. Really pleased I did a lot of my xmas shopping earlier in the year as I haven't got that much to spend now - will do the same next year too!Started this journey in 2013 (on a previous diary) with approx 94,000 total of morg and debt combined

Another signature update post - Can't believe I've nearly been on here for a year!! - and so glad I joined here as i'm convinced that without this site I wouldn't have succeeded in sorting my finances out. I've now paid off £5,888.00 and I have savings for a rainy day!!! - although I may have to dip into them for extras at xmas - although I have got more or less everything gift wise, I always seem to panic buy extras at the last minute.Started this journey in 2013 (on a previous diary) with approx 94,000 total of morg and debt combined

You are doing so well, ELM. :T I intend to build up an emergency fund during next year - I hate not having a fund to dip in to.0 -

hope all is good with you - I will catch up on your diary later (i'm busy wrapping xmas pressies)
Yes the savings fund is great - I also have another stash of cash in a sealed tin - which is just the odd fiver or coins left at the end of each week - I aim to pay for holidays/ trips out of this and it's quite nice not knowing how much is in there.

How quickly time flies - can't believe I've been on here for a year now! Really pleased with my progress and I will end this year owing 6 thousand less than when I joined !! I haven't been updating my diary much due to a few probs I've been having and I've been a little bit down in the dumps (mainly work probs) hopefully in the new year I will be sorted. My plans are to continue reducing the debt on my lower wage (my pay dropped in December) - I've done the figures and it's do-able. I've already started my xmas shopping for next year and got quite a few bargains.Started this journey in 2013 (on a previous diary) with approx 94,000 total of morg and debt combined
