So scores on the doors - I had budgeted a very generous 60 pound and I have 32 pound left - it is now decision time as to where it goes (savings/ morg overpayment) I'm also considering treating myself to a take away - I haven't had one in a long long time - i'll update my decision later.
Earlier on in the week I posted about my thoughts on moving to a cheaper property - I did go and view a property on Friday afternoon and it sort of made my mind up that I will stay put for now - the house was lovely but I know I wouldn't be happy in the area it is in - if I lost my job or some other disaster happened I would have to do it but for now I will keep going overpaying on the morg.
Hangover permitting I plan to do some garden stuff today and may list on ebay?
So what did you decide to do with your spare cash in the end, come on, spill the beans.
It's good you've made your decision about moving house - you can sit back and relax a bit on that score then.
Hope the hangover has cleared up now - sign of a good night out.0 -

That is all excellent stuff - you sure can make a Chinese take away go a long way. :T0 -

Had a lovely day today - nice lay in - plenty done in the garden and then went for a lovely walk with family and a friend and doggies - really enjoyed it.
Found some loose change in the back of my car today which must be from when I gave a family member a lift from the pub last week? - anyway it was a case of finders keepers and it paid for bread and milk today :rotfl:
I've been reading through diaries on the morg free thread - wow some really inspirational people on there and it's good to read the diaries from people who have been here quite a few years and the progress they have made. I find it very motivating.

Very busy week so far and luckily it's my last day at work tomorrow as i'm off on my jollies at the weekend - off for some fun / relaxation in the Sun
- I paid for the flight before xmas so I have only had hotel/transfers and insurance to pay out of the Monthly Bills account - i'm taking the least amount of spending money I've ever took on holiday but it is all inclusive so I shouldn't need much anyway. There's no chance of over spending as no cards are going with me! So when it's gone it's gone!
Hoping to pay another morg overpayment before I go as I have spent very little this week - I have lived out of the freezer and not stocked up on anything else. Also i'll save on next weeks budget obviously due to being away so hoping to overpay again when I get back - I've really got the bug now.
My monthly bills account is quite low now as I've had to draw out for a few things / bills including the holiday but it will build back up over the next few months. This time last year everything would have gone on the credit card - what a difference it makes paying out of money I already have !!
Off to catch up on some diaries -i'll be back soon - with a nice tan hopefullyStarted this journey in 2013 (on a previous diary) with approx 94,000 total of morg and debt combined

Had a wonderful holiday - lots of sunshine, lovely hotel and great company, it was so relaxing with lots of laughs too. It was great to go away and not think about how much things cost - the holiday was all inclusive and the food and drink were very nice, plenty of selection and I made the most of it. My spending money lasted, very pleased about that.
Feel very unfit now and I need to get back on track with eating and exercise!
Came back to pay day yay!! - so I've made my payments to savings, monthly bills and cards and my morg payment has come out. Also made a 30 overpayment on the morg.
My budget for the next four weeks is roughly 70 pound per week for food, travel, socialising - so we will see how it goes - hopefully I can underspend and save or make overpayments? Although I do have to stock up on quite a few items this week due to not buying much the week before I went.Started this journey in 2013 (on a previous diary) with approx 94,000 total of morg and debt combined

Crikey I've had a busy week - the holiday is now a distant memory!
Had a very money saving week - no spends- only travel and shopping - i have shopped around and got my shopping from 5 different shops/ stores - did well with reduced items in one of them (Fresh Chicken Breast joint 2.40 / low fat mince beef 1.20/ bread rolls 24p/ fruit 40p/large pack of potatoes 25p) most is now in the freezer. Also stocked up on offers. Total spends around 35 pound so far for food and travel.
Hopefully will come under budget by the end of the weekend?
Back in to exercising and it feels like it's new to me again - it's a shame I only have to miss a week and it's like starting over. Also cutting back on fatty / high calorie food as put a few pounds whilst on holiday (as I really took advantage of the fact that everything was free:))
Will update my balances at the end of the month when the interest payment goes on my morg but hoping to have paid off around 590 in total from the combined morg / debt?Started this journey in 2013 (on a previous diary) with approx 94,000 total of morg and debt combined

Quick update - finished the weekend under budget and have paid 10 pound off my morg and added 10 pound to the savings pot (which is now at 765 pounds.)
Hectic weekend - plenty of socialising due to rubbish weather I couldn't get my diy/ garden jobs done - ah well the socialising was goodand didn't spend much as went to friends one night and then local cheap and cheerful pub another.
Looking forward to the end of the month when I can update my outstanding balances.Started this journey in 2013 (on a previous diary) with approx 94,000 total of morg and debt combined
