Ending 2013 with 348 payments to go

Ok so I ended last months food budget at £361.28. Not great but had to be done.
I have overpaid however on my 2nd property by £106.34.....amount saved up since Jan of interest and tt's.
I am also building up my own spreadsheets for overpaying as the calculators are quite general and usually relay info for recurring payments. I like to see differences and play with the info so it will keep me occupied.0 -
Not posted for a while....been reading everyone else's threads.
April Grocery budget:£300
Spent so far £168.80
Halfway there with OH's attitude to OP. He seems keen now but will he make the changes?.....not so sure.
Hopefully my spreadsheets will help!
Very eager to make an overpayment but trying to save a little too. We have loads going on and may need any spare cash available.0 -
Ok so my posts have been fewer lately. I have been taking a look around the other forums and MFW is the nicest bunch for sure!
April food budget ended well. £288.57 spent.
May starts again at £300 to spend but I have been doing smaller shops ....always end up over budget this way though!!!
Got some money back on something I had forgotten about so straight to overpaying mortgage 2. OH and I were discussing the possible interest rate rises and plan to get a bit more motivated and make a more long term plan when the current fixed deals end. Anyone else concerned?0 -
No Mf news today, although I am always thinking of the next best move. Endlessly playing with spreadsheets trying to see which is the best way to go with the Mortgage Free plan!
Hoping to make a £500 op in July if I can save enough.....currently have a few big bills to pay so I shall keep trying on that front!
Decluttering is taking me a while. Just never get chance to get to these Cash 4 clothes places or charity shops without the kids in tow. Therefore I end up with a pile of black bags in the kitchen making the whole place look worse.....MUST TRY HARDER!!!0 -
Out of sheer and utter need to op I have just paid £66.93 off mortgage 2 by rounding down an account!
I really needed to!!!!0 -
No overpayment news.

Also, monthly budget not going great at the moment....need to get straight so I am urging the month to hurry up and end till I can restart.
So far I have kept up with my saving pots but I feel they will suffer from hereon.
Liking Pennyforthepots bulk buying method....might do this if I can ever save.....:rotfl:0 -
Hi there,
Currently altering my saving pots and plans as I had too many that the finances could not stretch.....I have now taken my 52wk challenge pot and my £365 in 365 days and joined the contents to put in my xmas savings of £500. I have surplus of £75 so have put that in my new holiday pot.
Previously my savings were causing other areas to suffer so at least I know the money is there for xmas and won't put any pressure on myself to save in the holiday pot......just as and when.
Gone over budget on most things this month.....groceries, petrol, birthday spends......so need to look at the amounts I am allowing for each as they clearly are not enough:eek:0
