Well my statement from my new 123 credit card has arrived and i earned £5.87 in cashback! Not a life changing amount but considering I only bought things I would have anyway, then I am pleased!
Not much more on the moneysaving except that leftovers are certainly keeping us fed but I think we will be all out by tomorrow so I will look at what I need and do a shop at Mr T's. (online with delivery saver or I will spend more than i need too)
Kids seem to have had a great time and are enjoying their pressies...most were secondhand but they have not complained or don't know the difference! Saved an absolute fortune and I won't be heart broken if things get broken easily!
I am now trying to get the house straight and seem to have stuff everywhere so let the sorting begin!0 -
Ok so, I have not had to food shop yet so nsd's for the last couple.
I have had my interest come back on my 123 account and I earnt £21.90!!!! excellent! Thats extra towards overpayments right there!!
I overdid some of the baking on xmas eve and ended up with overcooked hard biscuits so looking to save them as xmas decs for next year....the kids had half an hour of crafting on them so my efforts have not been wasted. That is .....if a fellow MS can advise me how best to seal them so that they keep. My cakes came out perfect though better than I have ever done them and sadly now there is none left so i will have to do another batch!
Also, the OH and I have been sorting out bits and pieces like car insurance and so on so saving a couple of quid here and there.;)
Still need to get organised, listed things to do:- Make dentist app
- Meal plan
- Get insurance quote
- homework
- mot
Also, my house looks like it has been ransacked so need to get on top of this straight away!:(0 -

Thankyou SJ....it's really nice to know that people will be checking in on me....will keep me motivated, do you have a diary??
I see from your signature that you have also joined the 12k in 2014 challenge so will look forward to seeing you get through that....i have joined but my amount is meager, however it will be a struggle to do it!0 -
You're welcome teabody

I'm still new to all this money saving malarkey, but the lingo is starting to make sense. I like how you state how many payments you have left, what a motivator!
Yes I have a diary. It's somewhere on here, called 'MF by 30!'... It's a little all over the place, I've only just settled on a goal and got into my stride, but my ultimate aim is to be MF by 30  (Insanely high goal, but what are goals for right?!:D)
I'm itching to add my first chunk to the 12k in 2014 challenge! I didn't do so well last year... But we won't talk about that
Hope you have a wonderful new year! SJ X97 months until I qualify!

Hi teabody - copied from my diary so you see my reply:
I'm not sure, sorry... if it was me I would wait until they were absolutely dry and then spray them with clear varnish (probably this)
Also, I would then store them in an airtight container.

if you have no varnish, a thin coat of PVA glue would probably also work.know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0
