Currently hungry to get life straight i.e my overcrowded messy house!

Listed a few items on a local selling site so fingers crossed. My loft is full of things I save just in case! I hate throwing things away.

    Feb grocery spends = £185.65 (£114.35 remaining)

I received £30 back from a complaint I made to Santander a while ago so a little extra there. Also, won £25 on the lotto :T ....my little savings pots will grow a little quicker! Mind you if I saved the money I spent on lotto I would be much richer now;)

Frugally made a Jamie Oliver dish for tea with food I had in (mostly frozen) as I am trying my best not to spend. My brother fetched me a much needed bottle of milk this evening.....have been home all day with a poorly little man (sign it is half term), so will owe him a bottle.
Did spend at the chemists for paracetamol but bought a cheaper brand than calpol so frugal there too!
Will have to do a Grocery shop tomorrow though as we will run out of milk and bread etc.

Been having a read of other diaries and I am so itching to save to overpay!!!!

Managed to make use of leftovers from Sunday dinner for tea tonight.

I haven't totted up receipts from the last couple of days yet :(

Happy to find that the interest I incur on a daily basis is approx £6.75 (well unhappy really) but happy to know it is relatively low and could be worse

My next few payments will see my mortgage permanently below £88000 so feeling happier....eager to get it below that by overpaying in order that the interest doesn't creep over that amount but sadly no spare cash to do that.

Trying to keep focused now till Friday so that I keep within my budgets for Feb.

Feb Grocery budget of £300. I did well.....£255.40 spent :j

Although I haven't finalized my totals, I am quietly confident that my spending has been within my means. :D

Following on from my previous post.....yes I did manage to keep within my budget....I was left with approx £40 surplus!

    March grocery budget :£300
    Spent so far:£125.78

I really seam to be spending too much this month but when I think about it, the grocery did include Easter egg bargains that Tesco had on 4 for £3. So £9 was for eggs.

    NSD today.

I am also up to date with my savings pots.

    Grocery budget: £300

    spend so far: £238.58

Not too bad....was hoping to be below this at this point in the month but it is still achievable.

No overpayments so far this month as I am trying to fill my savings pots.

Also, desperately trying to declutter as cleaning is impossible with so much junk....not quite one of these tv hoarder queens yet but if I carry on I might be!

Oh dear....think I have blown this months budgets.....was my little ones birthday so I might have just bought a couple of things more than I should!

Still very inspired by all on here who are keeping motivated.
Initially, I came on here with a view to overpaying the mortgage on the house I live in. I do have rentals and therefore the mortgages are covered, however one in particular was our first home and after much thought, may be once again in the future therefore I intend to overpay on that one as the mortgage is currently around £110,000:eek: and it would be nice for us to get it down in order for our costs to work out the same or less as the one we live in now. Also, unlike our residential mortgage, the buy to let allows drip feed overpayments of as much as we like up to 10%. I find small regular payments easier. I will add to my signature.

Grocery budget gone over to 330.99, so I will be trying to be tight the rest of the month!!!

More unexpected spends than usual so I am expecting to be over budget overall. The cheque book is out to try and keep my spreadsheet right ;)
