Fruit, some veg, fish, meat.....all excellent quality and usually buy on the 3 for £10 which, with veg from the greenhouse gives really good value meals. Veg we don't grow I get from M&S S because of the quality. Like the fact that the animals gave had a life rather than being reared in crowded conditions. Saw some sausages in the co-op once which I was going to buy until I saw the meat was from pigs reared in barns!
  • Well I shop there every year for xmas because I save m&s CC vouchers all year to spend. I do like their quality but do still look out for discounts.

I like their salads and I sometimes get ready meals when I am in the office as otherwise it's a dodgy sandwich I like their biscuits and their cooked chicken too.

  • Definitely wouldn't do a full food shop there, I only go in once every couple of months as a treat to get items that the family like best - the bacon & the cheese!
    :www: House Deposit = 100% Purchase Fees = 44% :)
  • We had their cheese straws over Christmas and they were lovely. Two boxes for £1.99... bargain.

fruit and veg generally in much better quality, desserts are with special flavours and not overly sweet compared with many other supermarket-brand. My experience of their sandwich, sushi, and deli salad were much much better than Tesco and Asda one, even better than Waitrose sometimes. It is expansive still so I only shop there when I need a treat.
  • I work in M&S so tend to buy lots from the food hall always makes it better as we get 20% discount :)

I don't, I find them very overrated and expensive!

I once had a £25 voucher to spend in there and it took me ages to decide what to use it on (wanting value for money), in the end I bought some Lamb Chops having to add another £3 or so to it (and there were not that many chops) when we came to eat them they were nothing to shout about and could have bought better, cheaper elsewhere. Never been a great M&S fan even for their clothing which mostly seems frumpy.

You should have got 3 £10 meal deals.
    Their roast beef is lovely.
