What do you buy in M&S food that makes you shop there?

i buy their deli coleslaw as that is the only one i like apart from Lidl cheese coleslaw
French stick is always from there and also their garlic breads the flat ones with garlic butter on the top and the lush seasoning.
I also like their millionaire shortbread puddings and get the meal deal often just because they are included.
I also buy quite a few YS items from there as any fruit and veg still keeps for ages. I tend to buy most of my fruit and veg at a greengrocers though0 -
I like their dips , their tinned chicken curry, their cherry tomato tomato sauce, their biscuit assortment. Mostly only shop their at CHRISTMAS for nibbles.0

Biscuit and chocolate offers when half-price make good presents.
The port was a decent offer.
The lasagnes when half-price.
Chutneys when on offer (3 for 2 at the minute).
Veggie Percy Pigs (for Son's hamper).
But not much at full price.

I like their french sticks, cherry & almond tarts, deli-style coleslaw and baby Charlotte potato salad.
And at Christmas the posh salted caramel profiteroles!0 -
Their sandwiches are quite nice - I top up a gift card from my business account, and put it through as an expense.
But I'd hardly ever buy anything from M&S food from my own personal expenditure - you can get just as good elsewhere and usually for less.
Plus I don't find the staff particularly friendly, they all seem to have that "because we work at M&S we don't have to try too hard" attitude.0 -
My husband likes their Cruncher cheese0

The fruit and veg is usually good quality, but I have had grapes go brown before BB date, and much of it is now price matched, especially salad items.
I started out in there with ready meals, and through yellow stickers/offers now like a wide range of items. So much so that I will pay full price for some if not on offer.
The melton mowbray pork pies, garlic bread slices (now only 86p), fresh cheese scones, pre-packed croissants, southern fried chicken bits have a lovely crisp flavourful coating which is not the cheap and nasty bland one used in most SF products, roast chicken pie's are lush, slices/pasties good too, I could go on here!
My favourite ready meals are beef or chicken filled yorkshire, roast beef oven meal, cottage pie, and several count on us meals really are tasty and filling, unlike many diet meals. Particularly the 4 cheese ravioli and the roast chicken, mash and veg. I will get 1 or 2 at full price if not on offer.
Not sure about the pre-packed bread though, I bought some reduced on day of expiry. Ate some for about 5 days and then got curious so left it in bread bin. Not a spot of mould until 3 weeks past use by date  :rotfl:0 -
