In cases where PayPal find in the buyer's favour - and that can't happen here, as vehicles are exempt - then if the money is not in the bank account, they will send in their (very aggressive) debt collectors to obtain it.Philip0 -

I remember that thread (have tried to google for it without luck).
To sum up. Ebayer buys caravan. Gets it home & then goes after a refund after claiming the caravan had a serious leak and was damp inside. Seller finds the caravan is now listed for sale on Ebay under a different seller account to that of the buyer (he could identify the caravan clearly from photos).
Buyer then having been told to get stuffed by Ebay, go to Court and for some reason manages to win. Seller never appeals decision (something I would have done).
Forum members suggest setting-up a collection to allow forum users to contribute to the forum member affected, but said member was adamant that he didn't want this to happen.Never Knowingly Understood.

Yes that was it. Seem to remember that the buyer's case was strengthened by getting an independent 'expert' report on the state of the caravan to back up his case in court.
I always think of that thread when there is a post containing the standard 'sold as seen' responses to disputes over collected items.
Shame the thread was completely deleted - it was a good reference point. Why didn't the 'powers that be' just delete the posts regarding a whip-round for the unfortunate seller?0
