Simple, 4 litre Range Rover with stupidly low profile tyres that would puncture if you tried to drive up a kerb.
Or would do this:

Why? because they're bought by idiots who think 4x4 will always save them, when all they really need is the right tyres.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

I actually think a decent 4x4 makes the ideal city car, great visibility, lots of toys to keep you happy whilst you in the inevitable jams, much better than sitting in some crappy Korean eco box.
And absolutely stress free with a slick auto box, climate control, reversing cams, parking sensors and comfy big armchair seats.
I did love mine.

I like the driving position of the "4x4"' vehicles but when they're equipped mainly for the road, that's all i liked about them.
Otherwise slow, bad handling, gutsy and expensive to fix
Had a go of a Hilux and an older Discovery on off road in the mud a few times and massive amounts of fun.All your base are belong to us.0 -

Good car combo! one ideal for weekend and sunny day fun the other for bad weather related fun.
My old MD had an X5 same colour, I drove it back from Paris after a conference a tad thirsty but I did drive it like I stole it.0 -

That particular z4 was a coupe so no folding roof, but she has one of the new ones now in black with the folding metal roof, so all year round fun!
Yes, my x5 liked a drink. It took 100 litres to fill it and i remember on one occasion emptying a full tank of £136.00 of diesel in four days. :eek:0 -

how many Ferrari's do you see out there next to Freelanders?
If one in a hundred Freelander drivers had a bad day and had a smash and one in two Ferrari drivers also did that because it's such a powerful motor, do you think more Ferrari drivers would cause crashes every day?
it's simple numbers and concentration of those numbers made possible by a fashion propagated by a classy people like Katie Price
Im struggling to find a valid point posted by you against the 4x4s you clearly detest so much. katie price isnt the first person to buy a range rover and she is younger than the brand it self.....
anyway, keep trying and possibly highlight a serious arguement so its distinguished from the rest of the drivel.0 -
Its the only thing that fits my partners wheelchair and equipment, also we are yet to find any vehicles bar 4x4's that fit three child seats in the back without buying a people carrier.0
