They are probably one of those people unhappy with their lot who needs to feel superior to others by making assumptions and comparisons. i feel i had too much last time
It varies to be honest, I think I often put in too much. Usually I put in enough to cover the carcass - I break the carcass up so that it takes up less room.
If you find you've put in too much water, it really doesn't matter - you can put the stock back into a saucepan on the cooker and boil the cr*p out of it until it has reduced down a bit. You can do this even if you don't think you added too much water because it'll take up much less room in the freezer. You can always add water when you use the stock in cooking.
By the way, while on the subject of freezing things, I also freeze leftover red wine in the muffin tin as well. When it's frozen I store it in one of those plastic Christmas sweet tubs. Then when I need some red wine for spag bol or whatever, I just scoop out some. It's a bit like slush puppies when frozen.0 -
Of course p&f - my mind is clearly on other things
But :eek: To leftover red wine - you have leftovers :eek: :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:CC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Hello all,
Well a few things to report in on really so will try and get some of that down now and that get on with assignment - adopting tactic of page at a time at the mo.
Dress came from bay of e - hmm... not happy with it but nothing i can really complain about - i don't believe the dress is BNWT as described - looks like tags have been removed and then put back - dress is unmarked though... extremely clean and pressed... also dress looks different to how i remember it like an imitation ( - i saw it in the shop) Irritating will do for hols but i don't think i'll feel fab as i'd hoped
Bought another dress todaythen regretted it, then realised its less than £10 BNWT (as long as not like above) beautiful and bright and just right for hols and i can wear this one to races instead of the one i planned
Need more for the hols than i had realised  so will also do for that :T
Plots and plans for weight loss start end of next week so [STRIKE]hoping[/STRIKE] will lose weight both before races and for holsIf anyone has any tips for this that'd be great
Had a big chat with my Mr the other day which he instigated really - things are hard for us just now, and have been for a while to be honest. I really wish he was on board with the MFW as I believe if we were both committed (he earns alot more than me) and worked at it we could have the mortgage paid in a few years and this would give us more choices elsewhere - such as jobs - both type and number of hours etc. I did not mention any of this to him as i have tried so many times and it is not good for either of us - i have to respect his thoughts on the matter and that is that. Yes i have shown him the calculator etc. The hard thing was he was quite negative on some of my plans to raise funds:(:( The thing is i know they work - proven by many on here
So, i will just plod on. As i am the one tackling the mortgage he has no idea of the balance, interest - though he knows this is high, term of mortgage or about the overpayments.
I am so grateful to everyone on here as it is a hard thing to tackle on your own and the words of support, advice, etc. really do mean alot
Anyway as i said i will plod on, i am determined to reduce this mortgage down and put us in a better position financiallyI know this comes at the end of a post that pretty much started with purchases but they were considered, needed and at the best possible price
which is what all purchases will be

I've found eBay invaluable for the cruise dresses. I keep an eye out during the sales, but eBay is my main source of 'frocks'. I tend to keep to brands that I'm familiar with, and all but one purchase has been successful. It was an M&S dress, looked fine in the pictures, but when it arrived it was more like an under-dress than a dress. I just binned it, I wouldn't have been happy to sell it on.
Sorry to hear you are feeling a bit low. It must be difficult when your partner isn't as committed to MFW as you are. As I said on another diary recently, your OH will thank you for your efforts one day, when the mortgage is paid off years early, but it's not much consolation in the here and now.Early retired - 18th December 2014

Yes, ha ha, no-one in this house likes red wine for some reason.White, Rose, Prosecco, Champagne, Cider, Beer - all yes. Red wine, nope, it's only ever used in cooking or if we have a visitor that likes red.
And have you clocked the time on this post. I am just home after a long day in the great Metropolis, I have work tomorrow and should be going to sleep but my mind is still too busy from the day's events. Overall, when all's said and done, it's been one seriously cr*p day and I'm glad it's over and I'm tucked up in bed.0 -
Hope you had a good night's sleep and fingers crossed that's the week's worth of carp out of the way. OH's can be so frustrating.
