Just a quickie to say thank you to everyone for the birthday wishes.
I had a lovely day and evening with the Fling - restaurant, presents and generally being spoilt. On to a good thing there!
I'm just about ready for the onslaught of Christmas now - all the food and drink shopping done, Xmas lunch booked (no way am I cooking!), family due to arrive tomorrow afternoon and presents all wrapped up.
Hope everyone has a lovely day and gets everything they wish for.

Glad you had a lovely day WW sounds as if your gentleman is a keeper
After a rough couple of weeks I finally have a few days to catch my breath and relax which is very much needed and appreciated. We got good news today in that my baby should hopefully be staying out for an extra couple of weeks instead of coming prematurely so I have time to get my body ready for labour and beyond!
So my plan is:- Plenty of sleep - no work so I can nap on a whim
- Lots of vitamins and minerals - prescribed and through healthy living
- Pampering - long baths, moisturising, manicures etc
- Me time - movies, reading, crochet…..
- Family and friends time - catching up with people
- Fresh air - too tired to exercise but a turn round the garden will help
It is lovely to think that I have nothing to do but relax and enjoy family for a while before all the excitement of a newborn beginsTaking responsibility one penny at a time!0 - Plenty of sleep - no work so I can nap on a whim

Welcome back all and hello to new folk!
I always like working towards gaols before new year- it feels like you beat the rush of new years resolutions and are already well underway by Jan 1st!
Hope it was a delightful birthday WW and all of you who have broken up from work are enjoying a well earned rest (although no doubt busy with Christmas preparations!)
I honestly feel like a different person to who I was this time last year, one of those years that truly puts you through the wringer! But alas here we all are coming out of the other side in one piece (just about!)
What is everyone working towards this time around?
Lots of love and a very merry Christmas

Riddled with uncomfortable back aches this morning. Painkillers have kicked in but goodness it's all caused by how I sleep. Def breaking out the yoga mat later.
Everything is prepped for tomorrow. DS is being a PITA because he doesn't want to wait for tomorrow to come. Now hubby is home I think it's time to crack open some alcohol
Just would like to wish you lovely ladies a very Merry Christmasenjoy your day, whatever you're doing

Hi, I would like to join up! At 30 I though I'd be spot free, yet they seem to have got worse!!!! I'm also recovering from over bleached hair too! My weight is finally where I want it to be so maintaining is my goal there.
Last night whilst googling insomnia remedies (as you do at 2am) I came across a lovely website where as woman blogs excepts from her gran's diary written 100 years ago. There are some fab old fashioned beauty tips on there. It's called ahundredyearsago (not sure if I can post links on here.
I'm going to try some of the acne tips on there like drinking 3 lt of water, steaming and fresh air0 -
Hi All
i am not running away again, honest, i have just been too busy to post much.
I have decided that 2014 is the year that i get a haircutI have a condition called Trichotillomania, which basically means that i pull my hair out. It's supposed to be a form of OCD, and it started when i had PND 14 years ago.
I HATE getting my hair cut, as it's so embarrassing explaining why my hair is in such a terrible condition, all all different lengths etc.
But i dream of having lovely hair, so think i might see about mobile hairdressers instead of putting myself through the trauma of visiting a hair salon.
Sorry for the ramble, just thinking out loud really.0 -

Hi Retromum and welcome….
Tumeric face masks are an old traditional Asian remedy for acne - google for recipes but I think it is basically turmeric and plain yoghurt.
Avoid eyebrows and the hairline because it can "catch" and stain.
Wantobe - Hi again - if you can't face the hairdresser could you get a friend to give it a gentle trim and tidy first - just to get you used to the idea of having someone do your hair.
The mobile hairdressing sounds like a great idea.
Bitsy - hope the backache improves and does't spoil Christmas.
I've just watched "Polyanna". I have to confess I didn't know the story. Absolutely lovely and I love the game "things to be glad about".
I know I'm a glass is half full kind of girl but I'm definitely going to the play the "glad" game……
Have a lovely time everyone and, in the words of the Chief Weasel in "The Wind in the Willows"

Thanks LL.
I think it would be worse letting a friend look at my hair, so i am just going to grit my teeth and get a mobile hairdresser. Scary stuff for me, but i want to have lovely neat hair.0 -
