    :santa2:Good afternoon lovely ladies:santa2:

Nice to see the "old" faces still with us:D and welcome to our newbies.

Well a recap on what I've achieved this year and what I have failed to achieve.

I've failed miserably at losing weight - I'm probably at my heaviest ever:eek: My knees are sooooo painful.

So next year I will most definitely tackle this one.

On the plus side, I have managed to drastically cut back on my wheat and grain intake and my tummy is definitely grateful for that. I do feel so much healthier now - I've managed to stop all medication.

I've managed to keep up with the fabbing and have actually lashed out and bought some clothes - so I am at least well groomed and reasonably well dressed these days.

The bag lady has well and truly left the building.;)

At the beginning of 2013 I set myself a target to help my boys buy a house each. DS2 completed on Friday and DS1 is happy and busy renovating and decorating his nest. DS1 and I will begin work on his house in the New Year.

My lease expires here at the end of March so we are hoping to get his property into good enough shape for me to move into. DS2 and I will house share for a while whilst I then look for a property for me.

My dad has decided to move in with my sister in the New Year so he wants me to prepare his house for sale and oversee everything for him.

Looks like 2014 is going to just as manic as 2013.:rotfl:

However, one thing I am determined to do is make some time for myself. I want to do a couple of courses and I am determined to get out and about more, although I have already made a start on that one.

I'm going to look into the U3A and possibly Meet Up.

Right off to put the shopping away, have dinner and then toddle off to see OH. Fish tank and accessories have been purchased. :rotfl:

Oh and some good news re OH.

After months of wrangling Wheelchair Services have finally managed to secure funding for a specially built wheelchair for OH.

At least we will be able to take him out and about a bit when the weather improves. He has been a virtual prisoner for months now and has been quietly going stir crazy.

In case I don't get the chance again, I'll take this opportunity to wish you all

A Very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year

    Onwards and upwards Ladies……...

    Hi everybody.

I have already started 1 new thing to get me to 'Fab'..i have started a skin routine (cleanse and moisturise every day). My other plan is to lose 13lbs by the end of the year.
I have lost 1st in the past 12 months, and gone from a size 16 to a size 14. I want to get to a size 12.

Oh, i also need a new load of clothes having grown out of everything i own apart from 2 pairs of work trousers and 2 pairs of everyday clothes.

To all the poorly ones - I hope that 2014 is kinder to you and that you all start to feel better soon.

Yes we are now officially in the depths of winter, but remember that Spring is just round the corner. The days will lengthen and get warmer. The sun will return.

The next couple of months may well be may be cold and dark and miserable but nature is just sleeping ready to burst into life before you know it. In the meantime keep warm and snug.

Nurture your inner dormouse. ;) Lots of sleep and rest.

Whilst rooting around in the loft I rediscovered a book I bought years ago called imperfectly natural woman. Decided to think more about what products I put on my face, skin and hair so fancy more organic products.
These aren't cheap by any stretch of the imagination but I am going to treat myself to this set after Christmas

So my plan for first few months is to concentrate on looking after my skin more, dry brushing, products, drinking water and the other is to make daily commitment to doing yoga. I know I've mentioned that before :o but some days I feel I am seizing up like an old woman. I might walk the dog twice a day but quite frankly it's not enough. Use it or lose it needs to be my motto for 2014.

Lovely to see so of you many posting :)

  • Hi! I would LOVE to join. Never posted on a forum before, so please be gentle with me!
REALLY need to working on fabbing, long over due.
A little about me; I'm happily married (for 28 years, so that outs my age - ish!) with 2 teenage sons 18 and 15 years. Busy job in the NHS and feel I sometimes get a little lost in all the business life brings - so I'm up for the challenge and encouragement I see on this tread!

    Hi all

I will be returning, need to get my life sorted and 2014 will be that year.

First, though I've got to get through the first Christmas without my Mum, Nan and uncle, too many empty spaces this year.

I have lots of lists in my head and after Christmas I will decide what is the most important and go from there.

Happy birthday WW, I'm 42 next month and I bet you look a lot better than me.

Just in case I don't come back on before Christmas, I wish you all a happy one and enjoy spending time with your loved ones xxx

  • Joining in again. Have got on top of the moisturizing now and do it every day. Also exercising a lot more, but not today as it's chucking it down. Have had a painful neck but it's on the mend now. Just need to get rid of this cold! Happy birthday WW, and happy Christmas to everyone.

Just a quickie to wish WW a belated Happy Birthday.

Bitsy I borrowed a copy of that Imperfectly Natural Woman from the library. Only glanced at it so far but it's not due back till Jan 6th so hoping to have a good read over the holiday.

Welcome to Smudgybunny - great name.

Filthy day here, been to physiotherapy - time for a snack and snooze…..

    Bye for now.
