Thanks Watty - I've got some Vit E will give it a try.
Snowing in my sister's village - 7 miles north from here. The sky looks grim……
Will test drive the new fleece later.
I love scarlet nails - I have to have those done professionally though. My nail painting skills aren't up to bright/dark colours.
Just given OH a manicure.0 -
Well I am now weigh less than I did before I fell pregnant :j and the slimmest I have been for years! Currently a 14 but aiming to be a ten by the start of autumn.
Baby and I went for a long walk today and I treated myself to some new makeup that was on 3for2I have been enjoying experimenting and am going to try some new colours.
LL the plants sound like a great bargain! This year we are going to do a lot to the garden although our focus will be fruit and veg. Great exercise with a healthy outcomeTaking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Rummer - well done on the weight loss. That was quick…..
I can't wait to get in the garden, feel the sun on my face and smell the warm earth.
I find it so therapeutic and I do seem to have green fingers. Those £1 plants are a bit pot bound, which is why they were so cheap. I will repot them and give them some TLC and they should be fine.
You can't beat home grown fruit and veg. Even organic stuff from the farm shop doesn't taste as good as home grown.
Spring won't be long now.0 -
Blimey Rummer, good work!
Went to the gym yesterday and had a bloody good workout! Meeting with friends for dinner and drinks tonight, and am wearing some of my new purchases from last weekend (grey t-shirt and waxed, leather looking black jeans) and some ankle boots. Feel pretty good!No more goo hoarding!

hi,
Fantastic Rummer!
Well my long overdue haircut has been done and i'm looking much more groomed. Trouble is this weather, groomed and me don't often meet as my hair goes frizzy with all this moisture so usually end up tying my hair up.
It's H's birthday at the weekend and we usually go out to eat with the family but he's decided he doesn't want to go this year. So I've had to listen to the nobody cares about me speech. Karma I'd call it. He also insists on pointing out they aren't bothered about me either and trying to bring me down with him. I'm not going to let him. (puts fingers in ears and sings lalala!):rotfl: If he wants to be miserable let him. He doesn't understand they have busy lives and we have a large family to get round some of whom are elderly so take priority over a miserable git.
Well it's pouring down again so no fab friday for me, need to get some cleaning done it's been neglected a bit while I finished my OU assignment so best get on.
Have a good day all.Frump to Fab - Solstice Sizzler

Wow, lots of great things going on:- post baby weight loss, saying bye to bruises, lovely red nails and red fleeces etc.
Today I dressed in numerous layers of warm clothes, topped with waterproof boots, trousers and jacket, OH dropped me into town for the Friday fresh bits shop. It flippin poured down, but I fastened my hood tight and walked home so had lots of fresh air and got about 3000 steps in:j OH was surprised, he had been waiting for a call to collect me. Yummy hot soup and fresh bread for lunch, and the most :j:j bit was that I managed to talk myself out of buying a large bad of T*orntons toffee to munch on this afternoon!
Lizzie - go you, that is just the way to deal with miserable gits, yay to Karma:DThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Another good brisk walk today:D followed by a very healthy lunch. It is lovely being able to get out in the fresh air and exercise.
The new makeup was a success too:j now though I need an under eye concealer for dark circles. I have always had dark circles and normally use touch! !clat however that is a bit pricey and wondered if anyone had a more affordable alternative suitable for very pale skin. After my recent mascara drama I don't want to waste money on poor products.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Good morning all
I'm multi tasking, sitting here with a face mask on as I type.
My bruising has finally gone and although my jaw is still a bit tender I can at least give myself some beauty treatments now. So today is a deep cleansing face mask.
This last week as been manic so I am having a weekend off. A bit of paperwork and some serous pampering. I deserve it!!!! Maybe a little light shopping.;)
Rummer - I am a big fan of Touche Eclat - it is the Rolls Royce of concealers. I tried the M&S one but found it very heavy and it didn't blend at all well and it wasn't that much cheaper.
Superdrug do one which is quite good for the price, but not as good as TE. Aldi did one which the beauty journalists raved about but I've not tried that.
Have been making/repairing jewellery this week with the bits that the lady from mum's nursing home gave me. Three nice new necklaces so far. The rest is just odds and ends so might make a couple of pairs of earrings.
It's stopped raining and there's a weak sun peeping through so hoping to get a walk in today. Pilates still going well.
Have a great weekend.0 -
Delighted you don't have to go out for the miserable git's birthday. I remember when he insulted you when you were having a family meal once. Those days are gone!!:D
I'm off to stay with a friend for a couple of days from tomorrow so that should be good.
Listening to an article on the radio this morning and thought of all of you on the thread. People were trying to find variations on the name of the month to reflect their plans for the next four weeks. So someone was going to read more and calling it Flibrary.
I liked Fabuary!!;)0 -
