It's actually sunny here for a change! Probably won't last though.:(
pq, I'll be interested to hear how you get on with the black jeans. I've bought 3 pairs recently: Wallis, Sainsbury's and M&S. The only ones that have retained colour is the M&S but they weren't proper denim jeans, more jeans-cut summer trousers. Shame as I really like black jeans but not the scruffy, grey look after a couple of washes.
 I'm having big computer problems too ww. I think if we don't get them sorted this week they'll be going back (new laptop and desktop bought a month ago). When did someone decide that computer users should be able to understand all the detail of how they work??? Next I'll be expected to service my own car!!!0 -
Feeling quite proud of myself ..... just cleansed, toned and slapped on a load of eye cream and night cream.....not much for some people but a minor victory for me
Another really busy day, tonight its a bath (done), a bit of mindless telly and an early night, the marking can wait.:o
On the positive side I'm still well within my cals for today - so far!0 -
Just a quickie....
I was wondering whether anyone has an alternative supermarket brand deodorant they use? I usually use Sure or Soft and Gentle and am happy with them but thought there may be a cheaper but just as effective alternative?0 -

I'm perfectly happy with Lidl. Currently using Cien with a pink top and smells like flowers. About 70p I think.0 -
Hi WW
I tend to read rather than post but thought I'd mention, although not a supermarket, I use Boots own 24hr anti perspirant. Its a spray and costs about £1.25 for a big tall thing that lasts ages. I get the one with the pink writing on. From time to time they are on offer 2 for £2.
Have been using them for 30 years so they can't be that bad and its very rare, that I have to respray. I have m.e. and sometime when pushing myself past my limit, I get all hot and bothered and perspire quickly. This always keeps me fresh.
Hope this helps.I got there - I'm debt free and intend to stay that way. If I haven't got the cash, it doesn't get bought. It's as simple as that.0 -
WW, thank you for the walking links - I'm just getting back into it after a week's poorliness. Still can't do 2 miles (depressingly, as I was doing 2 or 3 before!) but at least I'm doing a mile every day.
Sorry to hear about your experiences with carers lesson, it must make a hard situation even harder. Is there any sort of patient liaison service that you could speak to? At the very least reporting the stolen items will hopefully make them think twice before doing it again.
I will be back to fabbing by the end of the week - it's been a week or so in jammies and eating chocolate for me!!Finally debt free!! March 2018 :j0 -
Evening all
My fabbing has been sporadic due to a baby who likes to party all night. However I am now back to my pre pregnancy weight and able to wear some of my normal clothes. Tricky though as the clothes that suit me - skater style dresses are not suitable for breast feeding so I am going to have to rethink my wardrobe.
In the main my diet has been ok but I am still succumbing to rubbish in the eveningsAh well I will get there eventually!

My eldest one was like that. The Health Visitor used to tell me he'd sleep once he started school. I told her I'd probably be dead from exhaustion by then.
All HV's and medics told me it was the sign of a very bright child (He does have a PHD in maths - so maybe they were on to something….)
Oddly enough we were talking about his maths ability the other day (he doesn't get it from me, that's for sure). When he was about 7 I would come down in the morning to find him watching the Math's OU programmes on TV.
I asked him if he knew what it was all about. He gave me a pitying look and said "Quadratic Equations". I left him to it:rotfl:
Well the good news is my bruise has finally gone and my face is no long lop sided. My lips are incredibly dry and sore with these cold winds. I've tried all my usual salves etc - think I will have to get some Blistex tomorrow.
Today I met a friend in a garden centre for brunch. Had a very naughty Full English Breakfast - yummy.
They had a sale on so I bought a load of shrubs in pots for the boys' gardens, just a £1 per plant. Bargains.
This particular garden centre also has a concession for the Edinburgh Wool Shop - they had a massive sale. I was pushed for time so just picked up a really toasty bright red fleece, perfect for my new walking regime.
Hoping to go back in a couple of days and do a bit of a stock up for some nice new lightweight knitwear for spring/summer.
Horrid weather here and apparently more on the way.
G'night all.0 -

Good news bruise has gone. Vitamin E oil works for me on really dry lips. I tried lots of stuff in the past and totally love the vit E oil. I just use a pin to pierce capsule and squeeze a bit out. Its a nice natural solution you might want to try. Just a thought.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -

You've done fabulously well to get back to your pre-baby weight in such a short space of time.:T Some people take years, if ever.
I had a manicure yesterday and nails painted in scarlet! They look really good. For years, I only had a French or American but having experimented with a dusky pink I've gone even bolder this time. I'm still having the Shellac polish. I'm a convert as it lasts for ages.
I've decided not to buy a new dress for the evening wedding invitation, the jersey one I bought last year will be fine. What I will do if I've time is get some new black, suede court shoes. I bought some cheap ones last year and they've been so useful but getting a bit scruffy.
Weather getting colder here. Brrrr!0
