Welcome to the next instalment on our journey to fabdom
Everyone is welcome, regulars, old faces and newbies climb aboard the fab train choo choo!!
I have been a bit slack in recent months. I found a list of goals I wrote in the start of 2013. To say I barely achieved one is not an understatement
I decided to tried to change too much all in one go. So I am going to focus only on one or two things with a view to making them a part of my daily routine.
So back to basics and baby steps for me.
Hope you will all join me again

Some of have decided on goal words for 2014. As reminder they are listed below

Thanks Bitsy, I'm back in for the duration with a lot of material to work with in trying to halt the signs of ageing and many years of neglect to try to repair. LOL
Hoping to schedule in some 'me time' over the holidays for pampering (using up toiletries) and exercise and I'll think some more about what I want to achieve in 2014 but diet and fitness certainly will be the biggies.Mortgage

Thanks for the new thread Bitsy.
Yes I too have flagged a bit of late. Happy to say I feel much brighter and stronger now.
I'm ready to climb aboard the Fab Express.
Happy Solstice Everyone X
Bitsy - just edited to point out that not only did you move house this year but you and your family have relocated to another area. That is a monumental task. Give yourself a pat on the back for mission accomplished.0 -
thank you for starting the new thread Bitsy!
im in again, I've been slack too but will try harder!0 -
After reading all the last thread but not joining in or actually doing anything. I am now determined to turn things around. To give people some background, I have 7 yo twin girls and will turn 40 in September. Unlike when I was younger, my hair spends most days pulled into a ponytail, I have no make up on and just never seem to make an effort. Weight has been slowly piling on and with my work Christmas party tonight, none of my previous party dresses fit. My hubby has just ordered me a fantastic dress online which fits beautifully but at a size 16 it just hits home as to how much weight I have gained in last 3 years.
Time to stop making excuses and start making an effort. Want to be Fab at 40!0 -
Thanks Bitsy.
I'm in for the next chapter too.:D
Only yesterday DH commented how much brighter I looked with make up on. I have a habit of only using it when I'm going out or visitors coming!
I'm hoping to take some time out over next couple of weeks to reflect on goals for 2014.
Happy Christmas to all.:santa2:0 -
Hi all.
I'm just popping on to wish you all happy winter solstice, it's a very winter light here today with a blue sky and low sun.
I'm keeping the fabbing up by having my haircut every 6 weeks, usual skin are, make up and perfume routines along with clean clothes every day and jewellery.
Weight is being maintained at a healthy level on my own now I've left the diet plan behind.
The house is being fabbed up by being done up at long last and lots of work has been done with plans for more next year.
I also have a new job to start in the new year in a completely different area which I'm really looking forward to and also have reduced my hours at the old place with a view to leaving for good next year.
Merry Christmas everyone and keep fabbing!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Thank you soo much Bitsy for starting this new thread :j:j:j
Although I haven't contributed lately, I do come on and read this thread every day to get my daily fix of all you lovely ladies:D:D
Well, I'm keeping up with all my daily routines....I REALLY need to now, especially as I reached the Beatles "When I'm 64" a couple of days ago , not that anybody sees me, but I've finally got to the point of doing it for myself!!!:D
I've been diagnosed with COPD....as you would if you'd smoked for as long and as hard as I have (rolls eyes!!!), But I have stopped the dreaded weed with an ecig (the proper vaping one, not the imitation look-alike one) on the 1st November, and I have to say.....it was REALLY easy-peasy...no cravings or any other negative reactions that I'd had with all the NRT's that I'd tried using before!!!!:D
Once I realised that NOTHING was ever going to taste like a ciggy, I stopped trying to chase the taste, and went for banana flavour, that delivers that fruity taste, but, with the dose of nicotine that I'm accustomed to.
So, for anyone trying to give up this New Year, I'd seriously consider giving this method a go!!!:T
Anyway.....here's wishing you all everything that you wish for youselves and your families for a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and a WONDERFUL NEW YEAR:beer::j:T:rotfl:
Much love to you all

Hello all!
I'm another that's been bonkersly busy but still reading the goss!
I'm 42 tomorrow and so there's no chance that I can slack off and get away with lack of effort anymore
On the positive side, I'm still at my lowest weight (give or take a pound up or down occasionally), I still have the Fling (who is officially the boyfriend/partner nowand is bloody lovely), I've been promoted and my extended family and the dog are all healthy and happy.
Alas, I am starting to feel that I look my age although others disagree. So, more effort is needed with skin care and fitness. Generally, my clothes are ok and I dress fairly well apart from when dog walking (I look like a tramp then!) but my hair could do with an overhaul now its long - it needs shaping in some way but I'm not sure how. Its a constant battle with the grey too.
So still plenty of work to do....I'll be with you for the duration:):)

Thank you Bitsy for the new chapter.
I have only recently joined in the last fabbing thread, and would like to sign up for this quarter please. I just really need to pull things together and wear perfume, body moisturise and wear my dresses and skirts more often, I usually manage several of the elements, but always manage to miss/skip one or two things, I have no excuse, just need to get more organised.
Met with some of the family today and pretty much managed the whole works, just need to remember to take the make up off now!!The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
:T Thank you for the new thread :T
After a truly traumatic year and with a lot more challenges still facing myself and my family it is more important than ever that I take good care of myself.
Once my baby is safely here I will take what time I need to recover sensibly while eating well and once I am ready I will slowly increase the exercise levels. My hope this year is to get down to size 12 which shouldn't be a horrendous thing to achieve. It would also be good to get the skincare sorted and to get back to body brushing.
At the moment I am too huge and unwell to do much other than the essentialsTaking responsibility one penny at a time!0
