Horrendous dog fouling

There's a woman by me who does this (Well, lets her dog do it).
Whenever she does the school run, she drags (yes, drags. She hasn't bothered investing time in training it on the lead) the dog there and back. The school run is about half a mile, and it's dotted with her dog's shoite. You can tell it's her dog's as the dog isn't looked after too well, and the poop shows this (just flat pancakes, sometimes almost a puddle) and because of the consistency it's often squirted a fair distance, and then has paw prints in it where she's dragged the dog through it.
I've even seen her stop to let the dog poop in the middle of the road!!!
My dog generally poops in the back garden, but I bring some plastic bags and a poop scoop etc whenever I walk him.
I don't understand why you'd leave your dog cack there for everyone else on the school run to traipse through.
I tell you, if only her dog shat solid, I'd poop scoop it and pop it through her letterbox!

Firstly dilute some Jayes fluid in a spray bottle and spray the pavement along your boundry. (I know it sounds daft.) Make sure you really wet it well. This will clear the doggy smells, stopping said doggy wanting to stop and do his/her poops. Its the smell that makes them stop in same place so getting rid of that stops the cycle. Do this every week for a few months until doggy goes somewhere else.
Secondly if you are brave (Iwas) Put a shovel by your door and keep watch. When you see doggy and owner watch for the poop, nip out and ask if they are going to clean up their dogs mess? If no answer or no clean up, let them see you get your shovel scoop up the poop and follow them. Once they reach home jsut place poop on their doorstep. Repeat until they get the idea.
I am a dog owner and I clean up after my dog, so should everyone else. I have been known to knock on doors asking for a bucket of water to swill away when needed as well. xx
Good luck xxx
There's a guy in my road who lets his American Bulldog poo all over the pavements outside residents houses.
But sadly if you followed the above advice and followed him home to dump the poo on his doorstep you would be eating through a straw for the rest of your life as he is a thug with previous GBH form:(0 -
How about some 'Doggie DNA' signs up, that as it's possible to identify individual owners from dog turds that the council are trialling the Doggie DNA system in your area so they can publish lists of repeat offenders either for court action or so people can return their property to them (popped through the letterbox, maybe).0

Simply give their name/address to the Council Dog Warden. They make a visit with the coppers and point out the error in their ways.... This is done confidentially i.e your name is not mentioned. They just state that the perpetrator(s) were witnessed and that they will be taken to court if seen doing it again.
I tried to remonstrate with a number of dog foulers, before taking this approach, and was threatened with violence on virtually every occasion.
Why are dog-foulers such a violent bunch?I am a cow so cannot speak Bullshine but I do recognise its smell when I come upon it.0 -
We are the only ones on our estate with a dwarf wall, someone use to let their dog !!!!!! all along it, it was a nightmare we got dummy cctv and put the camera up this didn't deter them so in the end we put a sign up saying smile you are on cctv which will be handed to the local dog warden for you to get a £500 fine. We also contacted the dog warden who put out big signs on the lamposts about dog fouling and also spray painted the pavement about it.
It seemed to do the trick.
There was a couple walking past our house one night when I was coming in, they had two dogs and one crouched to do the dirty so I said I hope you're going to pick that up, the woman's husband was quite abusive to me saying he was going to put me over his knee!! I was 26 at the time, I just laughed at him and told my dad when he came in later. He caught up with the guy a few nights later and told him that he would put him over his knee if he spoke to me again lol. Needless to say the sh!tting stopped and they don't walk past our house anymore.0 -
Your local council should have an 'Environmental Crime' department. Get in touch with them first. They usually come out and spray paint signs on the pavement, put up bins and increase patrols in the area.
CCTV evidence is admissible, we have a huge problem with dog fouling in our street and I was chatting to the EC Dept and the Police the other week about it as they were doing a walk up the street. I'd previously caught a fouler on my CCTV, tracked him down and made him clear it up and the Police said that there is a marked difference in where the fouling takes place and it's as if someone has drawn a line around our house as it doesn't happen outside.
Try putting up a sign, mine says 'CCTV In Operation, pick up after your dog or footage will be sent to the dog warden'.0 -
I had the same problem at my old address and one morning as I was popping out to go shopping I saw a guy from down the street with his dog doing it's mess everywhere and him just walking off.
I said to him quite sternly "Are you going to clean up after your dog or just leave that there for the kids that play here?"
He shrugged his shoulders, muttered something and went to walk off so I followed up with
"I know you live over there at number 32. I'm off to do my shopping now and will be back in about an hour. If that mess is still there I will be coming over to your house, dropping my trousers and crapping on your doorstep to see how you like it"
... Needless to say it was gone when I got back0 -
Wow!!! I honestly can't believe the nerve some people have. Or is it laziness in this case... Either way, I hope this guy gets what's coming to him sooner rather than later0

I do wonder what goes through some people's minds. I don't suffer from dog fouling, but living close to a corner shop we do have a littering problem. Every week or two when I put rubbish out I walk around the nearest houses and pick up the rubbish lying around.
Recently a man asked me what I was doing (you would have thought it fairly obvious, given I was holding a big black binsack...) He seemed genuinely surprised/bemused when I answered I was picking up litter left by others, and asked whether I enjoyed it?!
I don't think the idea that someone would prefer to spend time picking up the discards of others rather than tolerate living in a litter strewn environment ever really crossed his mind:(
It is interesting to see what different people view as reasonable - speeding, using a mobile phone when driving, littering, discarding cigarette butts, permitting dog fouling, poor personal hygiene when using public transport, inconsiderate parking, noise late at night, fly tipping and graffiti are all common blights but many people would consider at least one of that list as routinely acceptable.0 -
We live in a rural area and property in our road has an area of grass owned by the Highways Dept that is maintained by each property dweller it's an unspoken token because we can use it as extra parking if needed.
We have a dog owner in the road who was letting his dog use ours as his first toilet stop of the day every day. So after collecting the mess on a shovel we delivered it back to his driveway......I think we made two delivery's before he got the message and it has never happened since. I should add we are responsible dog owners and make sure we clear up behind our dog and anyone that fails to do that have no right to own a dog in the first place.
We chose to have a dog and we are responsible for him and what he does. Please do not hate dogs but hate the owners that couldn't care less that they are imposing their dog on you:(.0
