  • .........Maybe the fact that if you have been shall we say hiding money from your creditors and trustee in bankruptcy and all of a sudden a nice lump sum appears in a savings account - who do you think the trustee will apply to have the monies repaid - even if you have spent them?
Answer the bank! That is why they do not want to do business with you.

    Absolute rubbish!!

bradztheman, if you talk to your bank like you talk here, it's no surprise that they close accounts on you and want nothing to do with you. It's their right to decline dealing with abusive people.

You want to try getting a CO-OP step account, designed for those who cannot obtain a bank account because of their history.

.... i would rather have a sort code and account number, whether it be a savings account or a basic account, than as to paying cardonebanking £12.50 a month plus £1.50 withdraw charges

Why did you not pursue any of the suggestions you got in your other thread? No need to pay £12.50 a month plus £1.50 withdraw charges

He's already been turned down by them, judging from previous threads.

I wonder what happened to be turned down for that. I don't think there is any further down the pole one could go.

    Isn't it Co-op Cashminder...or NatWest Step?

Doesn't matter anyway, since OP has been declined by both...and Barclays as well IIRC.

You need to read their posting history to get the full picture, since each thread seems to contain something new! ;)

I don't think* they take undischarged bankrupts, and at the moment the CRAs still have the OP down as undischarged.

In (yet another thread) they were asking how they could get confirmation to the CRAs they they were, in fact, now 'discharged'...so that the banks could see.

    * It's either them or Barclays, and, from memory, OP can't go to Barclays because they were one of the creditors listed on their bankruptcy?
