Forgot to say, 29p went into the kittybank! :Ta penny picker upper. Thank you, newgirly
Looking forward to catching up with you, it's been too long!
Had a relapse today, ended up back in bed with a hot water bottle and wheat bag thanks to all over the counter drugs failing miserably. Woke up mid afternoon and have been getting my money's worth out of my TV licence from the comfort of my sofanest since.
Thankfully feel normal again now, looking forward to normal service resuming tomorrow...a penny picker upper. Survived work! Somehow... was a wreck at the end of it and thankfully have a day off tomorrow to recuperate.
Had a weird burst of energy this evening and sorted out a load of paperwork. Have a huge pile to shred (a job for tomorrow) and life feels a bit more organised now.
Mr Merle spent the evening looking into new credit cards which inspired me to have a proper think about my own and to write up a good old Plan Of Action for monies over the next few months. Basically it amounts to: bring on the new tax year! I should be able to do some serious chopping & changing then, making all my pennies work for me rather better. I'm probably going to get a new 0% card on the go and get properly stoozing again.
:www: MFW Wonderment: worked, ate packed lunches, plotted ways to buy cheap work clothes. Yesterday I was still vaguely delirious but I did manage to do some reading up on index funds (thank you mr money mustache!), so feel like I educated myself a little which should hopefully pay dividends (hee) in the future.
:coffee: Simple Pleasures: a lie in!

Oh dear! How is it March? I didn't mean to disappear again for so long. Blinking work, lots of change arounds and things but have had lots of good results so that's something at least!
I have joined the Fitbit club (I'm desperate to see how many steps I do at work and since I couldn't have my phone on me all day it want picking those up...). I need some people to play with now - anyone up for some step duels?!
Money money, oh I've barely spent a thing. On serious lockdown here as it's more fun that way. Only slightly frivolous spend was on a beautiful dove grey sort-of-tweed fairtrade bag (only £35 though and looks like it should have cost twice as much, win!). But I usually have a summer bag and a winter bag, so at least this means my kipling bag will last extra longer now (it's a super winter bag). In all seriousness, just cracking on with it all and will hopefully be reporting some big savings soon
It feels so springlike here, I actually went outside in my cardigan today, crikey!
Eek, have to dash, shall do some better reporting back of activities soon...a penny picker upper. Glad to hear from you, Pearla, and so pleased all is ok in pearlaworld. Thought you might have gone under from work, poorliness, other projects...
All sounds extremely positive, so am looking forward to - possibly? - slightly more frequent updates...!! xxNST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
