Shoes actually hate me - if they've not given me three-inch blisters the first time I wear them then they find another way to take me out before long. Boots all the way. :rotfl:
Shoes are basically evil and I'm glad someone else realises this.

Oh gawd - I'm deeply sorry you suffer the same malady but I'M THRILLED to hear that I am, in fact, not crazy and that they're not only out to get me!

Lots of General Life Bits & Bobs ticked off the list today, along with some much needed resting. Lovely sort of Monday really.
It's amazing how much time I've carved out of my days since giving FB a wide berth over the last while. Really must remember this (had got into the habit of checking it constantly as there was so much downtime at work/on the bus). Also feeling happier not processing the nonsense I see on there... and have managed to write some proper emails to friends and catch up in a more concentrated way. So much nicer. I'm really starting to notice exactly how many tiny things all add up to chip away at my time and energy - cutting just a few things out makes such a difference.
Oh yay! I've just realised it's supposed to rain tomorrow - I can justifiably stay in the house and put off my little shopping trip until Wednesday. Ha, money spending averted. :A
In fact, I can get on with some batch cooking now the kitchen is looking shipshape, even better.
:www: MFW Wonderment: 1polled, still no heating on despite it being a bit nippy this afternoon (yay for flats and cosy evenings thanks to everyone else putting the heating on :rotfl:).
:coffee: Simple Pleasures: watching late afternoon autumn sunlight skirt across the trees, a tidy living room (for once!), having more energy in the evening (a very novel experience, had completely forgotten what it was like).

No, seriously, I do feel like I'm finally living life in a much more healthy and sustainable way. Long may it continue!a penny picker upper. Have put off my shopping trip til Friday.
The rain didn't even have to show up to put a stop it, I just couldn't face the shops - but have employed my time much better and the house is now so tidy(ish) that we may be able to finally move the furniture about into its desired position (and therefore organise such things as bookshelves properly instead of the random piles of stuff currently residing on them). Then we'll be finally moved in. :rotfl:
A small £6 spend in Aldi today, all on essentials, very proud of myself as the prawn cocktail crisps were calling me.
So nippy here over the past few days, dispensed with icicle limbs by doing the hoovering - must remember to get up and about and do little jobs throughout the colder nights. Though maybe not always hoovering, I can see that getting old quick.
:www: MFW Wonderment: 1Polled, made good use of freezer foods and leftovers during the couple of days. Got lots of things ticked off which now means more time in the evenings for getting back into surveys, woohoo!
:coffee: Simple Pleasures: watching the ducks paddling about, reading my book while curled up in bed, easy & yummy stir-fry dinners.
:heartsmil Burrow Building: once we move the furniture and get the dining table build we'll finally have somewhere to get playing some board games - looking forward to that!a penny picker upper. Hideous migraine yesterday evening, so not much to report there. Had to throw some use-by food away as I couldn't face cooking it when I got home, very annoying but hey ho.
It took Mr M three hours to get home last night () so I had to fend for my self all evening (from the position of the sofa, thank god for freezer foods and ovens otherwise I may have starved).
Today was much better, even though it feels like not much has been accomplished. Tesko have relieved me of £20.50, the majority of which was spent on tights.Needed wintery ones for work and then (grudgingly) bought summery ones for holiday. Spent an age trying to decide which ones, I'm sure anyone watching must have thought I had some sort of fetish considering the amount of raking I had to do through their random masses on the rails (Mr T, if everyone is buying medium sizes IN BLACK then why the heck haven't you ordered more omg!).
Looks like the temperature will either be quite warm or cold in Firenze, I doubt it'll be in the happy place inbetween where I'd get most use out of the ones I ended up buying so will have to bring all sorts of combinations of outfits with me, urgh. At least I have those space bags. Also bought scones and clotted cream to calm my nerves after all the rummaging.
As it's Friday, it's budget and spending diary update day! Everything looks fairly ok, I'm looking forward to December when all the pots should be swimming in a lot more cash now these emergency-type spends are diminishing. Checked my account and there seems to be an extra £100 in there  strange, but I daresay I can live with it.Must reconcile that account to the accounts app I use so I know exactly what's going on, something's obviously gone awry somewhere.
Apparently the council have finally decided to sort out our account with them (they kindly emailed me after I mentioned to them that their 5 day response time had turned into 5 weeks). I now await their demand letter...
:www: MFW Wonderment: brilliant 1Poll session today; £40 popped into the savings, thought about some grander money-making schemes to look into next year (this was more a ponderation on how I can best use my time and for what sort of activities, definitely time to up my game).
:coffee: Simple Pleasures: thoroughly enjoyed my scones & clotted cream (avec big mug of tea of course) while sitting in front of the (netflix) fire after a long walk out in the blustery weather.
:heartsmil Burrow Building: more bags dropped off at the charity shop and another square foot of space liberated in the living room. Must start being more proactive with the old Burrow Building... suppose all the little things I'm doing are a bit repetitive but all edging towards completely changing my/our lifestyle... getting there eventually.a penny picker upper. How do I actually manage to witter on so much?
Anyway, just to say 15p decluttered from purse and into the Kitty Bank

Hi pearla, have you thought of matched betting to up your earnings next year? I've never done it myself as it's quite complicated but you basically use free first bet money from companies and bet on the same thing ie. a football match twice - betting on each side to win.
I'm thinking of ways to do better next year, but then I keep seeing things I want to do next year too that cost moneyMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0 -

Lol on finding things to do that cost money - I spent most of today finding things that are going to cost me money soon (museum passes, theatre tickets, oh-heck-all-my-clothes-really-are-a-wreck-and-need-replacing). Should probably try and spread it all out if possible.
