My Doing Of Stuff In The Evening hasn't really worked this week, last night I came home cold and migrainey, immediately got tucked up in my PJs and a cosy blanket on the sofa with a huge pot of tea and didn't move until bedtime. :o
That's easily solved. Short term lists and medium term lists. Every medium term list should have a 'curl up on sofa in PJ's' entry. Then you'll always be able to tick something off :T. Even better, as it's on your medium term list you'll feel you've got ahead of yourself :j. Don't forget to add it back to the list once you've crossed it off though - it's one of those tasks that needs repeating :D.

    Hope you're feeling better :)

GG thank you! :kisses3: I'm so glad one of us is thinking clearly on such matters. This shall be put into effect immediately.

Feeling much better now, despite scary dreams with zombie children and a wayward Harrison Ford who couldn't protect me from them...

  • My pay is short by £50 :( So I shall be spending my morning obsessively refreshing my inbox until my payslip arrives. Hope it's something simple that can be rectified tout suite.

Otherwise having a lazy morning recovering from mad dream and gearing myself up for an afternoon of activity. First... time for a pot of tea. ;)

  • Payslip in :T I'm missing a days wages, thankfully it wasn't the more complicated bonus monies, hopefully it'll get sorted sharpish. Got paid £12 more bonus than I thought I would this month, hurrah!

I'll be needing it, have just started to think of my holiday that's coming up and feel drained at the thought of shelling out during it - must remember that it's healthy to live a little too...?! And then a friend is coming to visit straight after, oh my, it's going to be an expensive month. :o

What is going on with the flipping weather?! Over 20*c here today, took two bags to the charity shop and almost melted, proper shorts and tshirt weather. Nice to break out the summer dresses again but not very Halloweeny. :(

Just as I was thinking 'oh dear the shoe situation has suddenly become desperate', I spotted a pair in the charity shop - brand new, almost perfect but they nipped slightly, darn it - then I went round the corner to the next one and found a prettier pair! Practically new and fit like a glove, plus £1 cheaper. :D £5.99 for some emergency shoes, not bad. :T (Ooh, they retail around £80, ha! *click here* I win! PS. Mine are purple, verrr fancy.). I'll probably still need to get a decent pair for all day jaunts but these will get me from A to B for a while. If only the weather would behave then I could just wear my boots, but hey ho.

Rightio, need to go and do some Life Folder stuff (ponder goals and remind myself of good work done in the last month), then some housey bits (rustle up tea - heavens knows what) and get cracking on Christmas plans since the second half of November has now been booked out with various shenanigans.

:www: MFW Wonderment: 1polled, 18p into the kitty bank, haven't run out and spent all last month's earnings.

:coffee: Simple Pleasures: well and truly kicked my way through heaps of autumn leaves today, it was the absolute best.

:heartsmil Burrow Building: Mr M's been in Germany for a couple of days with work, had a hilarious time translating things via text for him with my very limited German while he tried on some shoes 'they're a bit uncomfortable', 'the laces are impractical' etc.

...Oh how funny, we were both shoe shopping today. :rotfl:

Oh, lovely :D. But you sound like me - prefer to go from sandals to boots and skip shoes altogether :rotfl:.

Shoes actually hate me - if they've not given me three-inch blisters the first time I wear them then they find another way to take me out before long. Boots all the way. :rotfl:

  • Had a lovely day out wandering about London town yesterday, mostly wandered shops but didn't buy anything. ;) Lots of things added to the wishlist though... :o ...where they will no doubt stay! :p

Have pretty much worked out the Christmas pressie list now, just a few more things to buy but I have lots of bits in the present box that will suffice. Plans for handmade Christmas presents has sadly fallen by the wayside - never mind, just means I'm ahead of the game for next year. :p Spent some pennies online getting a few odds & ends for people but it was mostly with Amazon vouchers, yay for free money. :D

Managed to tick off some housey jobs tonight so the place is ready for some deeper sorting out/me to sit on the sofa for longer relaxing tomorrow.

:www: MFW Wonderment: 1Polled, £4.50 Amazon voucher claimed from TCP, resisted all sorts of temptations in the shops, ticked off another day at work.

:coffee: Simple Pleasures: cold beer, a warm and cosy house, sweet letters from friends.

:heartsmil Burrow Building: we've done some digging for future (cheap) trips out and got spreadsheets updated.... so looking forward to next year now! :)
