Seesaw kind of day. Had to chase some work stuff up, which had a very disappointing outcome & left a rather bad taste in the mouth regarding the actions of colleagues (who were considered fairly close friends).
Tried to remain positive and remind myself that I was going to be moving away from this stuff anyway, but it's hard not to get sucked into a vortex of worry & upset about these stupid things, ah well. Nevertheless, I feel more focussed & hopefully the next few months will work out & I'll be moving onto bigger & better things at the end of them. *crosses all fingers & toes*
In much happier news, reorganised (vaguely) my wardrobe (thanks to declutter book) and feel better already for it. Lots of other sorting out for trip next week done, but only just realised I need to take a library book back so that's tomorrow's job (in the rain, most probably, after being so nice & sunny here today). Made quiche using left over bits, and freezer is now packed with milkshake cake (see below).
Another 60 mins of jumping about like a mad thing on my mini trampoline. :j

Hi P*M, sorry to hear about your work problems, it's hard not to dwell on these things, especially when it involves friends! You sound really positive though:)
Milkshake cake sounds delicious, i think I need to be a bit more experimental with my cooking, I have lots of odds and ends that need using up.

Go for it, Crumpets. It's amazing how far odds & ends will stretch... as my groaning freezer can now confirm. Soups, stews and quiches/omelettes... pretty much everything can go into those. :rotfl:a penny picker upper. Hi Pearla, snuggling on the sofa to watch a film sounds like a good end to the week
Good luck with work, it's always difficult when people behave badly. Just keep doing the right thing.
I'm in bed and there's a gale blowing outside. Mr T has just gone back downstairs to see what the thud was

Happy Valentine's Day! Hope everyone had a lovely time, and if you're still in need of a Valentine's Fairy visit then this is for you... :kisses3:
We had planned to go out to the cinema tonight but vile weather and the realisation that the film was on too late nipped that in the bud, so went for snuggling on the sofa and films instead.
:www: MFW Wonderment: remembered to use rail voucher for some train tickets, so only £2.something paid in the end. :j
:coffee: Simple Pleasures: tea & cake after a bracing winter walk, which included being battered alternately by hailstones and my own umbrella.
:heartsmil Burrow Building: still mulling over decluttering and I've worked out that I'm having a hard(ish) time for a simple reason: I did a major feng shui style declutter many years ago (I'll get rid of everything I don't love! And only buy beautiful, beautiful things!) and when I think about I've actually managed to stick with that thought since, so I'm having to weed out the odd straggling things and it's now boiled down to comparing items and really, really think whether I still want to have to deal with them (the thought 'can I be bothered to pack & move this to another house' is my mantra at the moment).
Happy news: Mr M's found some interesting job prospects & leads to follow up over the next few weeks, so possibilities are popping up all the time. :ja penny picker upper. Honestly Pearla, we've been laughing so much. Numerous pots, bins, meter cupboard doors flinging themselves around the garden with gay abandon.
Then one of our cats decided to take an evening stroll - IN THIS WEATHER
Managed to get her in eventually - Mr T and I are now wide awake :rotfl:

Hi P*M
Sorry to hear about work challenges - its so disappointing when people (especially if they are friends) disappoint you with their actions. I tend to find it difficult not to dwell on things like that
But as long as you are comfortable with your actions and dealing of the situation then that's all that matters!
Now for happier thoughts ..... cake :j
Milkshake cake is definitely a new one on meyou will have to post the recipe of it works
