I know how Mr P*M feels - I'm currently putting out feelers for a new job (though won't be actually properly searching till April) and it definitely seems like there is not much out there, and what is out there seems to be miles away, or needs XY qualification, or etc.
Wish him all the best though, and like everyone says Something will turn up!
Thanks BlueMoo. :D It's definitely a bit of a strange world out there at the moment, at least it's comforting to know it's that way for everyone right now and once you experience it a bit you realise that you're just going to have to put extra applications out there and *eventually* something will come your way (that's been the story for pretty much everyone I know right now). It can be so frustrating with the daft things employers do with their job vacancies, that's usually my daily rant at the moment. :rotfl:

Wishing you all the best in your coming search as well! Maybe something's just waiting in the wings for April time ;)

  • Ooh, BlueMoo, I just saw The Shoes. :smileyhea I'm super jealous, they are rather up my street. ;)

What a funny old day, generally schedule-wise (as things were a bit all over the place) and then weather-wise. We've had gusts of up to 90mph here. Mid-afternoon we had thundering sheets of rain and horizontal sleet, but thankfully it all blew itself away just as I was about to leave the house and meet Mr M after work. Dinner at inlaws, where we hunkered down for a few hours to wait for the worst of the winds to pass.

Popped to Tesko on the way back to pick up fizzy drinks for Mr M, of course came back with another three bags of stuff. Spent £19, but everything was half price or less. :A Lots of Hnz beans (this should last us several weekend brunches), passata packets, torilla wraps, bread flour, a few odd bits Mr M had coupons for and the best bit - *stationary status alert, Hbbb* - four lovely folders that were down to 33p each. Perfect for my seasonal recipe plan... which I wasn't going to put together until we moved somewhere with more space, but when the universe conspires to supply I thought I'd go along with it. ;)

Have been perfectly angelic with eating today, remembered to take the muesli out of the fridge this morn (& even add grated apple!) and have continued on course all day. :j

:www: MFW Wonderment: Excellent shopping trip as detailed above, got my hair cut for free by MIL's friend :j in fact I should I say I got paid to have my hair cut as I found 5p on the street outside. :rotfl:

:coffee: Simple Pleasures: Tucked up warm inside listening to the raging winds. Hurrah for super warm socks!

:heartsmil Burrow Building: Recipe folders! Nothing much else... back to my decluttering book for the rest of the evening, methinks. :)

Two of your greatest loves? Socks being one ... mustardy custardy yellow being the other perchance?
