Been on it a few times. Ah, happy memories :rotfl:. There's a lovely flat in Norwich on there as well :T.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

I'm apparently rubbish at keeping up at weekends! I was hoping to catch up with everyone but failed miserably.
I can't remember much of Saturday, we were out and about town most of the afternoon, ticking off some Places To Visit that have been on our list for a while. Picked up some digital scales (half the price of anywhere else selling them, so some good work there), and I resisted all charity shop temptations (it's slowly sinking in that I do not need more stuff, despite how bargainous). It started out sunny and rapidly became very miserable indeed - cue super quick walk home to hot chocolates! Which might explain why the scales hatefully said I was 7lb heavier than I thought I was.But walking about on Saturday and another 60 mins of exercise today (plus half hour walk earlier) so slowly start to put that right.. I hope, pray, beg of the universe etc.
Lazy rest of the weekend that included book reading and film watching. Sunday we had epic sausage, cheese & leek toasties for brunch which sent me straight to napville for a good chunk of the afternoon and only roused in time to head to the cinema (cineworld cards, finally getting good use out of them!) to see the Lego Movie (hilarious, I actually want to go and see it again, which comes as a shock). So apart from spends on travel & scales, that was a lovely lazy & cheap weekend.
Today I have mostly been getting the laundry done in preparation for a trip away next week. I had to go into town and finally remembered to pop into Argosh and pick up a cover for my eyePad. It's only been two months, oops (even though it's survived this long, I didn't want to tempt fate much longer). Anyway, I shelled out a bit extra for a smart cover as the plan is that when my laptop finally pops its clogs (the end is extremely nigh) I should be able to do most of the things I need on the eyePad. The smart cover will let me prop it up and then all I need is a keyboard for it et voilà! Used my Nektar points though, so got a third of it free. :j
Transferred my wine ice cubes into a small cleaned out plastic tub of butter that's just been used up so ice cube tray is ready for its next victims.
I've been meaning to do this for what now feels like an age, and follow Habibiboo's great example on her diary and make note of a few highlights of the day to keep me on track and generally made me more mindful of lovely things (thanks for letting me join in Hbbb!)
Quick breakdown....

... explains why they were half price, clearly faulty P*M, hot choc doesn't weigh that much, unless you're erm, drinking it by the bucket-load!
... to see the Lego Movie (hilarious, I actually want to go and see it again, which comes as a shock).
Ahh, the Lego Movie ... I was going to ask you what you made of it ...! :rotfl:

One of those days.
Mr M had bad news on the job hunting front which is very sad. I'm hanging onto the thought that I'll look back in a year and say 'thank heavens that didn't happen, because look where we are now!' *crosses all fingers & toes*
So today has resulted in Commiseration Cake, I managed 60 mins exercise - lacklustre attempt though, which was immediately obliterated by cake. I've not really been too (read: at all) strict with my diet as there have been too many other things going on, but now we know we'll be staying here a while I'll up the ante on that henceforth. I think I'll make up some Bircher muesli tonight so I can start tomorrow off on a good note. :A
It also, not so much changes, but clarifies my plan of action for the next few months, so once I get back from my trip away I shall blast on with that.
:www: MFW Wonderment: erm... just more 1Poll action, general good behaviour etc. Am overly excited about eating my batch cooked freezer meals, can't stop thinking about it. :rotfl:
:coffee: Simple Pleasures: sitting outside in the beautiful sun reading my book (though it was blinking freezing!)
:heartsmil Burrow Building: brought back two (more) books from the library yesterday. One was Banish Clutter Forever and it's not a bad read (the fact I can find new ways of looking at things despite binging on literature like this for years should tell you something, ha!), anyway, have written a list of items to add to my Put Away Box (when I finally procure a box big enough!), and what with a super clean & tidy kitchen I'm now entering the realms of smug when it comes to domestic pride. :rotfl:
PS. Going to keep playing with emoticons on this til I get it right. :rotfl:
ETA: Ah, coffee mug is rather big, yet fits the brief, but irritates my OCD for organised lines. Send. Help. :rotfl:a penny picker upper.
