a penny picker upper. MFW approx 78% to go | FIRE 3 years worth (30% savings rate: now aiming for 40%!) | Normality is a paved road; it's comfortable to walk, but no flowers grow on it | Whatever you're meant to do, do it now. With the overnight rain there is no leaf kicking in apple land, just squelchy mulch...

The problem is when the leaves turn into potentially 'suspect' brown mush and you end up dancing about all over the pavement trying to avoid everything in sight...

  • I love the autumn leaves. And it entertains oh no end when I run around trying to catch a falling one for good luck. X
Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D

Snap - I came on to post what fun (and much harder than it looks) trying to catch falling leaves are. :):):)

And yuk indeed to the dog stuff. I read this on the bus and was convinced I could smell it …

Have added your diary to my list to read through PM :)

But at least you get your step count up higher... And entertain strangers with your groovy moves...

  • Lol, that's a thought, Apple. Maybe I should turn it into a one woman show? Could be a good extra money making scheme?

I'm desperate to catch a falling leaf now. I've seen cascades of them but they usually bop me on the head (I an alarming scythe-like motion!) rather than falling neatly into my hand. I shall persevere!

Lovely of you to drop in Hollyboll, I was so glad to see you've started a diary. :T It's such a helpful way to get to grips with what you're doing (not just financially - it soon spreads to other aspects of your life) and before you know it you'll be up to all sorts of clever things ;) I (and the outer circumstances my life!) have changed so much since starting my waffling. :) The focus it can give you is incredible - and of course MFW is such a super place to hang out :)

I've turned into such a naughty lurker of late - am hoping to get my chatterbox on much more in future so expect me round your way soon! In the meantime imagine me with my invisible pom-poms cheering you on (& this goes for everyone else to whom I owe a proper visit!) *\o/*
