i fell very lucky to have managed to get the dining table ive had my eye on for ages, a rug (2nd choice as 1st choice sold out) and a few clothes for me. half of what i liked had sold out but it was only a want, not a need so not disappointed, especially with my table bargain!Current Mortgage balance - £363,785.35/£420,000 (highest point Oct 2022).0

Hi, can anyone help?? I ordered some trainers before the sale and it said that it would take 4 weeks to arrive
. However, I noticed that it was available in the VIP sale so I called customoer services and they said I would be charged the price of the item at the time of dispatch so if its in the sale it will be charged at that price. So for this reason I didnt order it in the VIP sale. I then messgaed the next facbook page to check and they said i would definately be charged full price. Has anyone had any experience of this either way? Thanks 0 -

I can't see how this can be right - otherwise, I could just order a load of stuff without having a VIP slot at full price and expect to be charged sale prices when it arrived. It would be a great way of circumnavigating the sale completing - you could just order everything a day or two before it started. Sounds to me like you've been given wrong information.
Last year I ordered a couple of tops before the sale because I wanted them at full price rather than risk them being out of stock at sale price, I also managed to order them in the sale too at sale price, so when they all turned up at the same time, I returned the full price ones.0 -
I ordered a jacket last year that was on the VIP as sold out but it was instock at full price in my size and when it came I was charged the sale price.might of just been luck though0

If you have to wait for something you've ordered from Next it will be classed as a 'reserved item' in your account and you can cancel this easily by logging in, going to 'Order Tracking' and clicking on 'cancel item'. Customer services should have told you to order them from the VIP sale then cancel your previous order.0 -
I wish I had done that now

They did the same last year with the almost half price thing for the VIP slots...then changed it for the sale proper to half price. I distinctly remember the furore...maybe someone can find the thread in the archives. Barstewards!

I'll keep an eye out when the sale starts properly but I'm kind of torn between being a bit miffed and not being too bothered as I'd rather pay a bit more and definitely get the stuff. The wardrobe alone was reduced from £499 to £275 so it meant I could afford better stuff for my little one's bedroom that will last for a long time. Saying that the last time I bought a wardrobe from them the door fell apart where it hadn't been glued properly :eek:0 -
Got offered another VIP slot today, booked a slot for 2pm and there is nothing left that remotely interests me. All the stuff I ordered yesterday is sold out. Clearly if you had anything other than the 5pm it wasn't worth having!0

Just seen the TV advert for the boxing day sale stating "Absolutely all items half price or less" yet on the VIP sale it says "Most items half price or less"!! So seems as though Next don't value their 'VIP' customers as much as they make out, seen as though we're paying more than people will do in store!0

But we're not queuing in the cold or taking the risk we won't get what we wanted.0
