Hi MM
I am loving your ideas on tackling the Next debt. I will have a think about that.
Have a fab few days away in your motorhome. Very jealous. sorry not been in more touch about the cover. Had a manic week with childrens school events etc.
I will take a look at it tomorrow and go get some lovely fabric.
I just got paid for the drum kit we sold on Ebay £50. I know this was to put against the bill that Ds built up, but the bank account is looking ok, so I have paid it against the Barclaycard.
£200 left :T
Feeling really good. xxx0 -
Looking at my next debt to tackle which is NEXT.
I will pay the standard £120 against it in April. Leaving £1480.
If I take into account my snowballed payments from:-
Argos £30
Barclaycard £280
Next Payment £120
That will equal a £430 payment towards Next in May. Add to that any extra money I make, I should be knocking that down pretty quickly.
Hoping it will only take 3 months max.0 -
Just so thrilled for you, you are really going some now:T
If you have fabric in stock, I don't mind what it is, bigger patchwork pieces even if you have bits to use up and there is absolutely no hurry, except to pay you so you can assign it:DThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -

Hi Steph,
Have just read through your diary about what happened last week and I think what you have done for your son will be so good for him in the future but I can imagine how traumatic it was for you.
You are doing so brilliantly and just keeping going on the road you are ok.
Here's to another great week.

Hi Steph
I subscribed to your diary a little while ago and just wanted to post and say well done! You're doing so well and I admire your determination :T
You handled the mishap with your son really well too - I'm a softy with my kids too and I can imagine having to take his belongings to sell was as painful for you as it was for him. But a valuable lesson learned, for him. Hopefully it won't take long to find the remaining money owed0 -

Thank you so much Magsnoodle & Pickle me,
I must admit to probably crying more than Ds did last week. It was an odd mix of disappointment with his behaviour, but also sadness for him that even though he knew what he was doing, I don't think he realised quite how much he had spent and what the consequences would be.
I am glad I sold the Xbox though as it was his most favourite thing and it now proves to him that he can't do things like that and get away with it. Think it was half my fault for not being hard enough on him in the past for other misadventures.
We sold his Digital drum kit yesterday which covered the last of the money he owed. So he isn't grounded anymore and he has his tablet back (New secret password!!!).
He keeps saying "I'm so sorry mum" so I know he realises what he did wrong. Although he does keep mentioning having another Xbox for his Birthday in September hehe. Will have to tackle that argument nearer the time.

_party__party_BARCLAYCARD PAID_party__party_
Woohoo, I've just paid the last amount on my Barclaycard £207.71.
I logged into the Barclaycard website to make sure I paid off the exact amount outstanding. It was £7.51 more than I thought, but guess that was abit of interest.
I can't believe that since January I have gone from 8 debts to 6 debts :T.
Off to update my signature. Onto to the dreaded Next now. Glad Barclaycard has gone, so that any extra money I make this month will now go to the Next bill.
Happy Monday :j0 -
Well done on killing the Barclaycard! That must feel amazing. We're six payments off putting ours to bed permanently and I cannot wait0
