We have loads....I would say I don't know where it all came from but I suspect being 60k in debt I may have overpurchased in the past!!

I had to have a little chuckle about this. We are the same, except I have #bayed most of it now. Every item I sell that isn't really worn or been used. I can't help buy think what a waste of money it was and now I am selling it for 99p .
Maybe I will try to put a positive spin on it and just think that maybe the huge bargain is helping some other poor soul that is struggling ;)
Hope the buyer pays up Steph..that's the thing about ebay when its good it great but when you get some pain in the ar*e buyers it is a total nightmare and puts you totally off. Hope you have a nice weekend :)

Noticed quite a few payments have gone into Paypal today, so will have a look in a minute and hope everyone has paid up. Thanks hun, sun is shining x

    Morning Diary,

Sun is shining so I am just going to type a quick post then off to do some gardening.

Paid an extra £28.78 off the Barclayc#rd this morning. An extra bit hubby made on a small job. Now down to £616.

Will have £40 to pay against it by the end of the weekend. From the two craft jobs I did. (£576).

Then next week I should be able to pay my Snowball payment which is £192. (£384). :T

Really want to pay it all off in March but think that might be abit of a mountain to climb.

I am now tracking how much I pay against debts each month. Trying to make sure that I hit my 1k mark every month. I have figured out that I am quite happy with the debt free date if I can pay off 1k per month. I think I am on target to do that this month, but going to be tough. Good to have a challenge though.

Got £16 in my Payp#l account but only £3.98 of it is my money and not postage costs

Nevermind. Got to find some higher value items to sell. these .99p things kill me.

    Morning all,

Made a few debt payments this morning.

    N3xt £120
    Littlew00ds £183
    V1rgin £74.00

I have just reached my March Mini Goal of getting into the 17k amount of debt :T.

Still got £522 to pay against debts this month. That should take me over my 1k per month target for March :j.

Spent so long outside in the sunshine this weekend, a lot of my 3bay auctions ended and I haven't sat down to work out what money I may have made from it.

Will go off any do that now and report back in abit.

    Hi all and MM

Just checking in after the post office trip. I have checked Payp#l and I have £38.14. Minus the £20.80 for postage costs that leaves me with £17.34 in my account.

Think I will leave that in Paypal to cover Final Value costs coming out of my account. I think I am at £22 at the moment as I didn't calculate that on previous sales .

so that Eb#y session felt like it was for no gain really, but at least I have nearly covered my fees that have built up.

Had a little brainwave this morning. Think I might put my polytunnel to some good use and grow some perennials for re-sale this spring.

I will use this diary to keep track of my costs.

    Just this morning I bought 40 - 6 holed modules. (22p each)

and the following packs of seeds

    Penstemon 500 seeds / £2.05
    Delphinium, 25 seeds / £3.15
    Lupin, 75 seeds / £1.85
    Foxglove, 2500 seeds / £1.85
    Dahlia, 50 seeds / £2.05
    Pansy, 120 seeds / £1.85

All of this adds up to £21.60
    + 2 bags of 50 litre compost £6.60

    Total outlay so far £28.26

I need to have a look at how much I can sell packs of 6 of each of the above plants. It also I suppose depends on how successful the seeds grow.

    But if I sold 40 trays @ £1.50 = £60 - costs = £31.74.

Almost think I could charge £2 each for 6 though so that would be a profit of £51.74

I feel tempted to do annuals but not sure if I am abit late to be sowing them now and also where I will sell huge quantities.

In our financial situation I feel I should probably play it abit safe and maybe build up over the coming years.

what are your thoughts on what I am doing?..
  • Morning Steph *waves* Just catching up :D

I love the idea of selling flowers, you have the tools needed to do it and it seems a no brainer to me! I love seeing the local houses near me with their tables out the front with flowers for sale. Another one that I bet would sell well would be tomato plants, I prefer to buy these as plants rather than seeds.

Debt-wise you're doing fab! You're going to have that BC smashed in no time at all :T

    Hi DFW,

I love garden gate sale as well. You can get some lovely well priced things. I especially love cut flowers from peoples gardens. So much nicer than the generic rubbish from supermarkets.

Off down the polytunnel to get some sown quick. I have never felt so determined to kill the debt. Hope you are feeling better. xxx
