  • Ugh, such a shame about the trainers not being bidded up! :( It is the downside of ebay. Sometimes its worth putting things on buy it now, or set a slightly higher starting bid. It is a gamble because if they'd finished another day or another hour, someone else may have seen them and bidded them up to £10 or so! Very annoying. But don't let it put you off, it's still decluttering and every little bit of £ helps! xxx

Thanks Kim, I have done well on other items that I thought wouldn't sell, so won't complain too much. Just shows how I need to be sensible with money as they were such a waste in the first place .

Just had a little think about my debt free date and wondering if I am still on track to be debt free by 40.

Got 17 months left before the BIG 40. If I can keep going with the 1k per month then I will have paid off a further 17k, so will only have about 1k left over. It would be such a huge birthday present to be THAT close to a debt free life. :D.

I know this is just me rambling away but I HAVE to keep working out these little things to keep me working hard to keep the momentum going. I have been debt busting for just over 3 months now and this is the period where I usually start to lose interest and fall back into bad spending habits.

    Got to keep going :)
  • What a shame about the ebay :( I hate it when things like that happen. And after they take their cut it seems worthless doing! (I know because I also have sold expensive things for pennies!)

Hope the sun is shining where you are, it's miserable and cold here.

Regarding the goal to be DF before you're 40, it's not ramblings at all :) I think if you set your mind to something and go for it you can achieve it! And you never know you might have a small windfall before then meaning you will be debt free well before your 40th, never say never ;) xxx

    Hi DFW,

I had a little re-read through the first few pages of my diary last night and I realised I owe you a BIG THANKYOU.
You were the person to suggest I move bank accounts and treat my OD like a separate debt. Because of you, I have sorted all that out and in a much better situation now, so thank you soooo much :T xxx.

Let hope we do get a windfall before then, think the only thing I can hold out for is the CPP application paying out, but even if it does I think its only usually about £100-£300. Still that would help finish off the B#rclaycard super quick.

Meant to be nice weather this weekend, about time too xxx

    Morning Diary,

Been abit of a boring financial week this week. Everyone that wins things on my #bay pages doesn't seem to want to pay.

I have had to open a case on 3 as its been 10 days since they won the item. Only small value but I will lose the final fee amount if I just re-list, so have to go through the hassle of opening a case.
I have messaged them all but had no reply.

Sold Ds two pairs of shoes for a pittance at the weekend and even though they have had a COMPLETE bargain, they haven't even paid yet. Grrrrrrrrr

Got to finish off the Felt bunting that someone has ordered today. So should hopefully get the money for that £20.

Then delivering the other bunting to a friend tonight. going to see if she will pay it into my bank account, so I can immediately pay my cc.

Not much else to report. Plan on doing some gardening this weekend as weather is supposed to be nice.

Off the said friends for dinner tonight. Looking forward to that as its free (apart from fuel) and I haven't seen her for ages.

    Thank heavens its Friday xxx

    Hi SS,

Yeah to friday..! Well done on your craft making and ebay sales.. personally I know I should be listing stuff too, but I hate it with a passion, although i do like the pennies...!! I find bootfairs so much less stressful as there isn't any comeback when someone who paid 99p for something starts moaning...! I've had a few horrible buyers so it sort of put me off, although i have also made a lot of money out of it....

Weather is suppose to be nice for the weekend here as well so am also planning a bit of 'gardening' .. Well sorting and clearing my pots ready for some seed sowing...

Hope you have a lovely weekend. xx

    Hi Puzzcat,

Carboots are a good idea, We have a nice local one every bank holiday Monday. Trouble is I am not sure I have enough to justify doing one. Maybe I might ask a friend if they want to share the boot with me.

I agree with having some difficult buyers, I had one buy two items for .99p last week. (Complete bargain) and they were arguing about the combined postage cost. Grrrrrr

Running out of things to sell now. :-((
