EXELLENT WELL DONE so glad to see the £9000's don't worry too much £649 is still a lot of money to pay off .what you have achieved is fantastic just think if you had not have done it you would have probably been in more debt than £20000 by now so just keep plodding away at it x

Thanks Fern. £649 is just my minimum payments on my debts :o
You are right about it being a good job having paid off half the debt, especially with hubbys operation looming and also not a hell of alot of work booked in.
At least if we really get into trouble I can ring these companies up and work out lower monthly payments.

Hopefully it wont come to that.

    thanks for posting xxx

January is looking really good Steph, it looks like Easter will be your breakthrough moment. How very exciting. Any market for Easter wreathes? Probably not, but no doubt some other brilliant idea will be forthcoming.

Yes Easter will really get the snowball rolling with some speed :j
Hmmmm Wish i could think of an Easter or Spring item to make and sell easily. We just don't seem to do as much for Easter, unless its something chocolate for children. Not sure I would be a very good choclatier - i would probably eat more than i sell :o

I will have a think :EasterBun

  • Evening all,

Thought I would check in with an update.

Dd didn't feel up to Gymnastics tonight, she is abit off colour with tummy ache and sore skin :(. So I nipped to Sainsb@rys in our nearest small town (8 miles) and managed to just do a little essentials shop for £28. Hopefully that will limp us through the week until February finally starts.

Money is ridiculously tight in this last week on January, trying to get everything paid and zero'd ready for February.

Thankfully i have had a text from the spa tonight asking if I can do 2 x Reflexology treatments 5.30pm onwards tomorrow night and 2 Indian Head Massages on Wednesday night = £130 :T:T

Just what I need to get through the end of the month with a positive balance in the bank.

Amazing how things just come along when you most need them.

Not sure why or how but my head is feeling alot calmer this evening. recently it has been a whirling mess of neurotic thoughts, but I feel almost cheerful.

I am wondering if it was from getting out in the fresh air this morning, and i also had a long shower and spent some time properly drying and styling my hair. Silly really but that is the only two different things i have done today. I am sure reading all the lovely posts you great people have put on here also help loads, maybe they are finally starting to sink in :o;)

I also cleaned the kitchen and 1 bathroom this afternoon.

I have a friend popping over for a coffee at 12pm tomorrow. Its an odd friendship that grew out of her advertising smallholding courses locally and I attended a couple of them and as we live so close a friendship grew out of it. She isn't anything like me, she is a vicar for one , and I am not the slightest bit religious :o, she is very matter-of-fact and everything is black and white and non emotional, and as you all know by now i am a very emotional person. All that aside we do get on very well, and its always nice to have a coffee with her, she never stays long, only about 1 hour, but i always enjoy her company so I am looking forward to that.

Will take the dog out again tomorrow morning and then tidy up ready for when she arrives.

Feels so nice to feel less like the end of the world is about to happen :o, I really hope I have turned a corner now. :T

Oh v good news about the treatments Steph. I think the walk is important, you see daylight, get some exercise and thinking time, all calming. Ditto hair. Your friend sounds like a life enhancer. I walked in the Peaks yesterday it was freezing, but sunny, it really cheered me up it is so beautiful in Derbyshire.
