    Morning all,

Just paid our last three debts for January. Paid a paltry £649 off this month, but have paid out for a lot of other things too, so not surprising.

Not taking into account any interest added this month, I have finally broken through into the £9,000 region of debt.

Feels good the debt not being over 10k finally.

That's something to smile about surely?

Going to take the dog for a walk in a minute for some fresh air.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend. xxx
  • Huge congratulations for being under 10k. :)
    Trying to shift that debt!

  • Phew just got back from a wind swept walk. We have lots of public footpaths through fields out the back of our house, but I very nearly got lost and am terrified of straying onto someones land when I shouldn't, So I double backed on myself and came home. Dog was super pleased for the walk and I do feel better for getting out. Was quite cathartic because, I hope I am not the only one, but I was talking out loud to myself or the dog most of the way. Good job I can go across fields otherwise I might have looked like a mad woman :o.

I was trying MaddieMays Glad game, although I did end up just berating myself for being a spoilt brat. Because when I list all the good things versus the bad, it makes no sense that I am such a miserable b**ger. Although I guess sometimes its more a state of mind than what is actually happening to you. I could almost win the lottery at the moment and it become a negative :o (not quite!!).

So what to do the rest of today??

I need to make a super frugal food list and menu plan for the week ahead and i think I might clean the bathrooms.

A (sort of) friend text me this morning for a chat and I almost asked her if she wanted a coffee but I decided against it.
She is only a vague friend ( Our daughters are good friends) and I have often felt that she just meets up with me to have something to spread to other people. I unfortunately am a total open book so if I have coffee with someone, I usually end up telling them more than I probably should and then end up feeling rubbish later on knowing my issues will be passed on to many other mums at school.

Would have loved the company for an hour or so, but it really isn't worth it.

    Will check back in later.

Thanks for your replies Puzzcat, Kelpie, and Skint. Hope you all have a lovely day xxx

EXELLENT WELL DONE so glad to see the £9000's don't worry too much £649 is still a lot of money to pay off .what you have achieved is fantastic just think if you had not have done it you would have probably been in more debt than £20000 by now so just keep plodding away at it x
  • JANUARY 2015 END OF MONTH UPDATE

    [STRIKE]Argos £395 / Barclays £850[/STRIKE][STRIKE] / Next £1972[/STRIKE] Littlewoods (£2479) - £179 /
    Co-op cc (£1852) - £1221 / OD (£3264) - £1764.00 / Tesco CC (£5336) - £4436
    Virgin CC (£4371)-£2398 - Dec 2013 £20519 - Jan 2015 - £9998.00
    Jan 2015 - £649 paid Goal - PAY OFF ALL DEBT IN 2015 - 51.27% Paid (1% = £205.19)

Thought I would post my end of month update, because unless I suddenly come into some unexpected money there will be no more debt payments during January.

Really pleased to see I have only 1 more payment to finish my Littlewoods Catalogue bill.

March will see a monthly payment of £184 snowballed over to the Co-op bill which will feel really good to plough such a big payment onto that bill.

I am hoping that by April the Co-op card will also be gone and I will be left with the big 3.

Tesco credit card is my next major target then as they are nasty with their interest charges. Virgin & Barclays are both 0% and happy with my payment plan so no point in overpaying them at the moment.

Will be so great to have Littlewoods & Co-op killed off by Spring.
I have gotten to that point in the past and given up when it came to the last three big debts.

Not this time, I will see it through to the bitter end.

    xx

January is looking really good Steph, it looks like Easter will be your breakthrough moment. How very exciting. Any market for Easter wreathes? Probably not, but no doubt some other brilliant idea will be forthcoming.
