You need to make sure you're getting an equivelant model to the one you had.

The poster who got a bunch of 32" TV's from Argos will have picked the bottom of the range versions.

Remember, bigger screen doesn't mean better quality. You need a good model with a lower screen size as that would serve you better than a lower model with a bigger screen size.

Does not always follow. There's a Turkish company called Vestel who make a boatload of TV's but you've probably never heard of them.

Why, Because their badge is not the one on the front, they do a lot of the house label systems, so that's the names such as Technika for Tesco, Celcius for Sainsburys, Polaroid for Asda. They also do a lot of the smaller sized sets for big labels, the JVC we have in the kitchen in a Vestel machine sold via the Dixons group.

Nothing new in that, own brands by a big OEM maker, but surprisingly a lot of the smaller, cheaper TV''s that are badged with the big names are Vestel, and that means the likes of Panasonic, Hitachi, Toshiba, Grundig and so on.

Not that any of the big companies will admin using cheaper parts / chassis, but the margins on electronics are slim, and if they can make a little more per unit they will.
