Should I stay or should I go?

I'm busy selling all the contents of house so that in five weeks time I shall move myself and my 3 boys to Northern Ireland - a place I haven't visited in 25 years and I won't be moving to the areas that I have been to. Am I worried or questionning...absolutely not. It is an adventure...life is :j:j

At one point you had to live there for 20 years before you could rent or buy in your own name. When I was there they'd stopped even that. I think you can 'qualify' now again with a lesser period of time spent there, but I don't regret moving home. Twenty years is a long time to be paying somebody else's mortgage before you can start on your own. I bought a 3 bed house for the same price as a 4 room 1 bed attic flat somebody I knew there had.
