Meanwhile, pay grew by an average 0.8%.UK unemployment fell by 99,000 in the three months to October, with 2.39 million now out of work, official figures show.
The unemployment rate fell to 7.4%, the Office for National Statistics (ONS) said.
This is its lowest rate since the February-to-April period in 2009.
This compares with a figure of 7.6% for the three months to September, and is below the rate analysts had expected.
The ONS data also showed that the number of people claiming Jobseeker's Allowance in November fell by 36,700 to 1.27 million.

And with everyone on zero hours contracts, it is easy to see this happening.
Meanwhile, in the real world, unemployment is very high and wages are declining in real terms.
Also, according to official statistics, inflation is around 2.5%, and anyone tried to buy food or heat their house will know that this is a complete load of ballacks.0 -

No, it isn't. There has to be some sign inflation is rising first. At the moment, it seems to be likely to be stable or even fall below target for the medium term.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

2.1% actually. But then again, I don't suppose that matters, because you know better than the ONS. :rotfl:
Notice the bit where I said AROUND, not exactly.
It's been bubbling around the 2.5% for the last two years.

RPI is 2.6%.
Inflation figures will vary from person to person as you well know at different times."If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....
