I have seen the 3 Godfathers, years ago when a child. The mother died and they had to travel with the baby across Indian country.

I believe it was a remake of a French film(not a western of course)???

It was a remake of two earlier silent westerns all directed by John Ford, this one is the best version and has the Christmas theme to it.
