I see, so all retailers jacked the price up on the back of that. I hope everyone records it - that'll teach them.0 -
It's not just DVD's
I was looking for Skylanders Swapforce Limited Dark Edition for my little lad and it's nearly £90 with anybody who has still got a copy in the UK. Eventually found it on a Danish online games website for £65 which was the RRP when originally released. Yes, Supply and demand I guess, but doesn't make it any less a rip-off..0 -
Great film. I bought it in Tesco a few years back for around £15.
If it's the same one I bought, it comes with two disks. One in colour and one black & white.
It gets me in the Christmas mood. Not very money saving but I was happy to pay it.
Until I noticed it's on Sky OD. :mad:0 -

Exactly what I was going to say - it is on every Christmas without fail. Just record it and save yourself £15.
Even better if it is on one of the on demand channels if you have Sky/Virgin.0 -
£15 version is the 65th anniversary version which contains B&W and colourised versions of the film along with art cards and other useless crap
James Stewart collection ( It's A Wonderful Life/Harvey/Rear Window/Mr. Smith Goes To Washington) is £20 and you get 4 brilliant films for that price :TI am trying, honest;) very trying according to my dear OH:rotfl:0 -
There's no doubt about it that you're always better buying what you want after Christmas but it takes a very considered mindset to accept that in my opinion because Christmas is about celebration and within that, apart from the church going, drinks, meals and treats there are the presents and without them it wouldn't feel the same to many people.
I suppose the best way round it is to give gift vouchers or cash. If you know the recipient won't be disappointed in not getting something in a large box!0 -
Excellent movie but I am surprised that some people are paying this much for a DVD in 2013.
My sister has managed to nab the SE version of IAWL from a car boot sale.0 -
