Thanks Roxy! They were old White Stuff tunics... I'm a bit of a junkie. Was! Was a bit of a junkie!
Also sold a couple of Tatty Devine pieces. I love their things but not into their 'shiny' pieces so moved them on :)

My eBay fees were £12 for sales of £120, so 10%. I always list for 99p so list for free ( you get so many freebies a month, way more than I've ever listed!)

My fella is lovely, I'm very lucky! Was in a crappy relationship during Uni so I definitely feel I've fell on my feet!

Realised I've paid 2% of my debt ish! Feels good to make % dents!

That's not too bad. Then there are PayPal fees but with that profit you did well.

There is a thread here along the lines of the 1% thread which is good. They suggest you print out a 100 square ( a table with numbers 1 thru to 100. You then work out your debt and what 1% is. Every time you pay the 1% you colour a square. You cant include your normal payments though, only extra ones. Its good to see the grid getting filled upquicker. I lost track of mine.

As a primary school teacher I think I'd flip my lid with a 100 square at home! It is a good idea though... Maybe I will think of a way to do it :D

Yeah forgot about PayPal, can't remember the % on that. I just think what I get into PayPal is what I have, try not to think of fees!

Sold 2 tops on ebay for roughly £50, after fees and postage and such I ended up with about £12...

Oh yeah I accidentally bought myself a necklace with the proceeds... £25, loved it when it was originally for sale at £65 though!

And I managed to convince my brother to get me it for my upcoming birthday so will get the money back next Friday when he gets paid! Haha

£170 paid off so far (and will pay the £12 over too when I get it rounded up!

Another £10, close to another, and £15 extra overtime (haha pitiful, but it adds up!) over the next 5 weeks, PLUS 5 days overtime in late February.

Have been naughty and spent £70.20 on some clothes which were on 20% off *hangs head in shame* but thats that extra £15 a week isnt it!

Ahead of schedule, wasn't going to manage to pay anything off in January based on my initial estimates and leftover Christmas/car stuff, and will have paid off about £300 so Im happy with that!

Currently sitting on £830 of payments over on my debts! My initial plan had it at £1000 by the end of March!! Probably won't quite hit that by the end of Feb but I'm still almost a month ahead! Feeling pretty awesome!

Well done on your payments and sales, even if you did go spending - at least it was the sales and wanted items.
  • Hiya,

I'm subscribing to your diary, (hope that's okay) you are all doing so well. I'm also trying to clear my debt this year and save for a house. Both me and my husband have defaults in the past so will take a few years to save and it would need to be a decent percentage :-)

An easy way I did my 100 square because Im doing the 1% challenge was highlight 100 squares on excel spreadsheet colour the background in a very light colour with a borderline showing and printed it off. I then write the date I pay one percent in each square. :-) once debts are gone I plan to use the one percent squares for saving goals. I.e. £1000 at a time :-)

  • Hey!

That sounds like a marvellous idea! We will all get there eventually!

Got some more extra work starting after half term so that's extra on my years budget :) my birthday in March too so we shall see what that brings :)

So far I have earned £60 from different survey sites, £50 PayPal and £10 Marks and Sparks vouchers! Wish I'd joined up earlier :)

So currently paid off £1000. My original 'year plan' had that down for the end of March so a full month ahead, and hoping to pay off a good £700 at LEAST in March, hopefully more!

Was originally going to pay off an overdraft first, but interest wise it made more sense to pay it off my one CC. Going to keep going at the CC until the interest balances out with the overdraft. The overdraft has a £6 'charge' for using it which really annoys me, so I'm thinking about another £500 on the CC and I will start denting the OD and work on both at the same time. The charge will be on the OD until i get it down to £10 anyway so it won't make a difference until its all gone :( Oh well!

Thought about getting a 0% CC and shuffling about, but the time I'm hoping to get it paid off in, plus the transfer fees, and the possibility of being rejected and my credit file etc, I think it'll cost similar and be more fuss so I'll just keep going.

Just wanted to thank the people who recommended some new survey sites earlier in the thread. I've earned £100 so far (and I'm close to redeeming another £30!) so that has been so awesome. £80 paypal cash and £20 Marks and Spencer vouchers.

Happy with my progress and getting addicted to paying things off!
