HI Lynzpower
I know I am just impatient! I just do ont want to loose out to that flat as it is really nice!
I guess I will just have to wait
Yasmin
Be careful as that is exactly the attitude that will force you to offer more than you should. Leave your offer on the table, walk away and do something else. In fact better still, go searching for other properties - that way you'll get out of the mentality that this is 'the one' for you.0 -
If you are not embarressed by your initial offer then it is too high!0

Hi EVERYONE
The saga continues...in the end i put in the full asking price offer today (as the EA told me yesterday they would accept nthing less as they had another offer which was slightly higher than my originaal offer). The EA then rang me back today and said that the sellers now want to wait for the other buyers to get a survey done etc. and they will let me know in a few days! You can tell that I was not very impressed at all with this iam almost tempted if they come back to me to tell them that i do not want to proceed now anyway! Not to sure if its EA tatics or them just been greedy!

I guess you pay a lot for a shiny cooker.0 -
Hi
Yes i know i saw that as welll. I think hyou are right your pay more for the cooker etc than anything else! I was very surprised but am really narked off with the Estate Agent he was just telling me a pile of rubbish!

those range cookers start at about £599 plus fitting and splashback, they are nice but not a major deal0

The price differential is due to the first flat being a share of freehold and having a garden! I'm sure you've done your research but with a SOF you will never have to worry about paying for a lease extension or being at the mercy of a landlord. If you do buy leasehold, make sure you know the length of the lease before you offer!
By the way, Spicer McColl haven't got a brilliant reputation.
Good luck, I know how stressful all this is!0 -
Thanks very much regarding Spicer Mccol...i wish they would bring Estate Agents under some sort of strict regulation like they do for health professionals and doctors and dentists!
I gueesed that is why it was so expensive but i think the ea's tatics are appauling....troube lis there ar enot many EA's for sellers to choose from in thta area!

I think if the other buyers pull out, I'd be telling the EA something along the lines of "well if they've pulled out there must be something wrong with it and we'll have to reconsider our offer".0
