Question is.... when the dough is done, and I take it out of the bread maker, will I need to leave it rise before cooking????Eight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -

I have a Panasonic SD253 and it is excellent. It is so good when you come through the door to the smell of the bread wafting around. I tend to make a Granery style loaf . Where the recipe say's 14oz of whole meal flour I use 10 oz and 4 oz of Granary flour or strong white instead of Wholemeal. It saves so much time. When my children were small and I was a farmers wife I used to buy Strong White flour in a large bag as in potato sack size, it took me about 4 months to get through the sack. I also had a Rayburn cooker which 'proved' the bread and cooked it too. Nowadays the Panasonic does a very good job. Wouldn't buy any other make of Bread Maker.0

Look on Amazon and the Panasonic bread maker is a clear winner.
I bought a cheaper one from Tesco and it went well. That said due to space being a premium in our kitchen it didn't last long - I now do it by hand with far better results.0 -
I've invested in a Panasonic bread maker, and baked my first loaf today.
I used the Allinson yeast, and also used the Allinson flour.
I'm delighted with the results. But I'm looking forward to experimenting with other brands to see what variation there isEarly retired - 18th December 2014

I got mine back in November, although I went for Kenwood (not quite sure why...)
I realised I was going to the shops for a loaf, and buying ready meals at the same time just from idleness. Now I do bread at home and plan meals from what is in freezer.0 -
We got our first Panasonic via Freecycle, which was great, as it was a brilliant way to try out a bread maker without any outlay. We haven't looked back since and use it several times a week to make our bread. Use Sainsbury's wholemeal and the green tins of Allinson's yeast. It's olive oil that we use rather than butter.
We invested in a new Panasonic Bread maker (using Love to Shop vouchers from the Royal Mail postal survey!) a few months back and it's fabulous.0 -
I used butter for my first loaf, but intend to try olive oil. I think it's great that there can be so many variations.
Also looking forward to trying pizza doughEarly retired - 18th December 2014
