M&S do sell eggs, maybe it is just your local store.
My store sells 6 medium free range eggs for 99p.

Central London stores operate a bit differently.

Thank you hun! I've never managed to find them in the Oxford St or Victoria station one, which is quite annoying, though our local off license sells 6 organic ones for 99p which isn't hideous. x

I think Marks charge way too much for most people to do a largish shop there.

I love their Birthday cakes (I know home made are better) and have been to a frghtfully posh wedding where I recognised the cake as coming from M&S. The Brides father confirmed this but told me not to tell anyone as it wouldnt be considered posh enough!

Their advocado sandwhiches are really nice especially for veggies who get sick of the normal egg/cheese option. I dont think their sandwhiches are too expensive especially at motorway services.

I very rarely buy from Marks as I am skint although their tart au citron is gorgeous and I forked out nearly five pounds for one the first time I had my OH round for dinner.

i sometimes shop at m ans s, but only for a treat and something different. last week i bought breaded camenbert with a cranberry dip. never seen it anywhere else and me and the oh loved it!! it was expensive but worth it as a treat. i'd like to be able to do it from scratch though (hint hint!):D

also, m and s peaches are by far the best i've ever had.

I get their 99p cheeses. Okay they are still relatively expensive for the amount you get but they have some really nice ones and I live by myself so I don't need a huge chunk of cheese.

They used to do some really nice crisps but then they stopped doing the flavours that I liked.

Our wedding cake was from M&S, they were on special offer too, I think 3 tiers for the price of 2. I'm not at all ashamed to admit this. The cake was lovely, and I was happy to say where it came from. We ordered our party buffet from them too, and picked it up on the morning of the do. (We got married abroad without telling anyone, and had a big party when we returned!)

ive recently tried asda's value range of this, and was amazed at how nice it was (must confess, i was expecting it to be awful, so i could justify paying over £1 a tin for the one i do like :o ). worth a punt.

i love it as a jacket potato filling, or with petit pois, baby carrots and sweetcorn served with rice

Ooo, thanks, I'll give it a try next time I'm in there. And I'll try it with the veg a rice too, better for you than toast with heaps of butter!

We went to dinner at some friends last week for the first time and they had bought all the food from M&S we had:

    Roast gammon
    Roast turkey
    Cheddar mash
    Roast potatoes
    Carrot batons

Now don't get me wrong the food was lovely and it didn't take them long to prepare it but I worked out the whole meal cost nearly £17  for 5 of us.

Which for some OStylers is nearly the shopping bill for the whole week. Again I cannot deny the food wasn't nice but the only other thing I can say is - our friends don't have kids yet :rotfl:
