eople aren't buying these as expensive doorstops, they really are a vast improvement over the sound provided by most television integral speakers.

As would any decent micro system gathering dust in the house - that's moneysaving.

I have just purchased a samsung top range 1000hz tV, Blue ray and got a soundbar normally £400 for £300 and got £75 cashback voucher from Samsung for incentive to do the multi product deal. The TV sound is so good we dont want the soundbar. Thinking I will advertise it on ebay Model HT E550. £250. Has wireless speaker and bluetooth to play sounds from your ipad /phone / android. Unopened!

Personally, I don't keep old junk like that lying around after it's had it's use.
I was only singing the praises of sound bars to those who were actually looking to buy something new. Of course it's always moneysaving to raid the attic instead.

That's unusual with a flat screen TV because there isn't normally enough space to contain any decent size speakers in the chassis as with a CRT.
Sure you're not just trying to sell it to someone here?
