Can I join too please? I am going to work slightly different if that's OK, I'm going to put £31 into a savings tin this week and then add £1 per day to give me £365 for Christmas shopping on 1st December xx

I hope it was a good day for everyone, it certainly was for me, I got spoilt rotten! :j

Anyway, it's getting closer to 2014 :D We need to get ready for this challenge. Everyone get those accounts opened and get those standing orders set up.

If your saving into a tin, make sure you have some coins at the ready. :rotfl:

I will update the list in a minute with all the new members. We will definitely hit over 100 before we start.

  • Can I join in please? I failed drastically last year but Hubby and I are getting on top of money now so I will be able to do it this year. I would love to be able to have some money for him for the new year.

I will save it in my new Christmas tin that needs opening with a tin opener :D
Can I ever learn this budgeting lark? So far it's not looking promising

If we are going to reach 100, any chance I could be number 88 then ALM2013?? (currently number 66).

Number eight is my lucky number and also my other challenge number is 88 so it would save me from getting confused. (I get confused very easily).
    :o

I am really looking forwards to this challenge... but I don't know if other people have already earmarked the money but mine is going on xmas pressies in 2014.

We are aiming for £600 approximately as OH is going to donate £1 a day too!! We will be opening our tin on the 1st November as that is when I normally start buying pressies.

Has anyone ele planned this far ahead too?? Or am I just weird??

ALM2013, thanks for organising this challenge. You already have my name down, but STEWBY, I'm another one who has now decided how I'm going to do this. I've decided that my £2 per day is going to be my complete budget for next Christmas. I am going to put in in a savings account I already have which currently has a balance of £7.50.
Spend less now, work less later.
  • I just transferred my £31.00 for the whole month of January 2014.

Will just do the same each month.

Count me in again this year please! Will absolutely do better this year than I did last year - liking the idea of transferring £7 over at the end of each week in to my savings account, that'd make it much easier for me
