I have been served with a NTK of a CPN.
Location: Riverside Retail Park, Norwich. I am not a local though. All parties in the car did not see any signage.
Day: Saturday 23rd November 2013
Invoice recieved: 2nd December 2013
Time: 1530 - 2000 approx 150 mins free 269 mins total
Charge: £70 (£42 if paid in advance)
Proof: Spent money at three shops on statements.
I am in the process of writing a soft appeal and was looking for advice specifically for recent G24 appeals.
Any advice for a parking fine newbie of 6 hours after opening my post?
They refer to themselves as 'the creditor'. POFA 2012 legal?
I have pictures of the car entering and leaving on the letter.
Any help would greatly be appreciated.

You have read the recent guide in the sticky threads at the top of the page? https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4816822
Start there. I can tell from your OP that you will lay things out logically and can follow c-m's advice.
Always write as the keeper and refer to the driver as a 3rd person. Some PPCs try to con you that they need the driver's name and address. I suggest getting round that be beginning
"I refer to your Notice to Keeper xxxxx dated xx/xx/yy. I understand that to pursue a driver you need a serviceable name and address and that serviceable means in England and Wales. In order to save wasting administration time by supplying you with a address that does not meet your requirements, I will be appealing this charge as I am the keeper"
But keep your initial appeal simple to points such as poor signage, driver not seeing signs etc.0 -
All above seems to be within prescribed parameters in terms of issuing the ticket. Well done on getting so far in reading and starting to implement the advice in the NEWBIES sticky.
So yes, soft appeal to G24 with a couple of appeal points - unclear signage and GPEOL should do for now. But I'd open the appeal with redacted copies of your statements, stating you were a genuine shopper and the time was taken wholly in undertaking the shopping on site.
I'd also copy your appeal letter to each of the 3 store managers (with statements), slightly adapted but assertively saying words to the effect:'Look what happens to genuine shoppers who are legitimately taking time to spend money in YOUR store, when you employ such [STRIKE]scum[/STRIKE] parking companies to 'manage' your car park. Please be assured that, should this charge not be cancelled and I as Registered Keeper of this vehicle have to spend any further time in having to deal with this, neither I nor my family will ever set foot in one of your stores again. I will also bring the dangers of doing so to the attention of all my friends, including those on Facebook and Twitter' (if you're a member there).
Make sure your letters (including that to G24) are annotated c.c. with the names of each of the other recipients.
But work on a worst-case scenario that this might not work, so you do need that POPLA code from G24. There's plenty of advice on POPLA appeals via the NEWBIES sticky.
Once again, great to see a newbie getting to grips with this in the way we would like to see this happening. In fact I think you'll get more assistance from regulars in view of your approach, rather than the usual 'Help I've got a PCN, what do I do?' brigade.
Good luck. HTHPlease note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Hello
I've also been sent two letters regarding overstay at Riverside, despite spending I their stores.
I initially ignored the first two letters but am now worried as I have received a letter from CCSCOLLECT requiring payment.
I have read the forums but am a little overwhelmed by the amount of information and can't find the letters to refer to. Can I still appeal?
I have composed the following:
Dear SirMadam
Having been working away from home I am now in receipt of two invoices for parking fees and a letter from CCS Collectors demanding payment for car parking.
I am appealing account number 0xxxxxx as the registered keeper of vehicle xxxxxxx on the following grounds.
1. I do not believe that you have sufficient legal rights over the land to be able to offer parking or pursue drivers in relation to these tickets.
2. The sum you are seeking is not representative of any genuine pre-estimate of financial loss suffered by you or the landowner flowing from the breach of any contract terms.
3. I question how you have access to my personal information under the Data Protection Act and believe that my information has been passed to you via the DVLA without my express permission and for their commercial gain.
Please consider my appeal and either
1. cancel the ticket, or
2. send me a POPLA code so that I may take this up with the independent appeals body.
Any advice and tips would be appreciated as a bit worried.0 -
Please start your own thread as no matter how similar you think your case may be there will be differences. It is one thread = one case. Thanks.0

Hi
I hoped to start own thread but can't see how to do this.
Any advice?0 -
I've done all that but only have the option to post reply. Been in CP and no option there either.0

Go here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=163
On the line with all the page numbers (on the right hand side) at the left there is a big blue button.
Please use it but if you can't find it, then don't come back on this thread till you find a way of starting your own.
Not being harsh, but we are trying to help the OP on here and no one will advise you on someone else's thread.0 -
