<32" Smart TV?

There's very few <32" Smart TVs on the market so I thought I'd ask for advice.
We're looking to buy one after Christmas.
Requirements:
  • Wall mountable
  • Max width 70cm (hence sub 32" display)
  • Black (so the 29" white LG is out)
  • Freeview
  • Smart (BBC iPlayer)
Desires (in order)
  • Freeview HD (this is almost a requirement)
  • Full HD
  • Wifi built in rather than just ethernet
Budget: under £350.

...hit me with ideas.
1. Have you tried to Google the answer?
2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?

£200 ish TV, and £150 ish set top box. WiFi built in will be difficult at this size too. You'll have FreeviewHD no problem.

The issue is that it's going on a wall and we don't want multiple cables/remotes, or to have the set top box sitting on the floor.

As already advised, you won't get such a small TV containing all your requirements in one box within your budgetary range.

I can get all the requirements in the price range, just not all the desires.

If the price was increased to £450, have you something in mind?

I only have a 20" TV and don't want anything bigger (we have a small house!).

It isn't a smart TV, but have a tiny Roku box attached, which to be honest is so small I would not be surprised if you actually attach it to the back of a wall mounted TV. The remote works by bluetooth and not infra red, so it can be completely hidden (mine is behind my TV and can't be seen).

If you're happy with just BBC iplayer, 4OD and Demand5, then the cheaper NOWTV version of the Roku box will save you money (£9.99 total one off payment, includes the HDMI cable). This is simply a slightly locked down version of the Roku box (some subscription services like Netflix are not available, as Sky want you to subscribe to their NowTV service which is why they offer a subsidised box - but there is no commitment to pay for any subscription services at any time, but you may as well enjoy a free month of films).

The main flaw with the Roku or NoxTV option is that currently there is no ITVplayer - but this may change in 2015. When I first had Roku, the iplayer was the only major UK catchup provider on there. Demand5 joined in 2012 and 4OD very recently last month. I also use TuneInRadio quite a lot, too, which provides pretty much most UK stations (and thousands of others too). Music fans will like the Vevo channel I guess. I also happen to have gone for the NowTV entertainment pack (live streams of Sky1, SkyAtlantic, SkyLiving, Gold, Fox, Discovery, SkyArts1, Comedy Central, MTV, Disney Channel and associated catch up) for £4.99 a month to try out - will probably cancel in the new year but we'll see.

    Hope that helps a little.

If 32" is your maximum then:

Samsung UE32F4500 <-- click to go to Richer Sounds website.

    HD ready
    Freeview HD
    Smart TV
    Wi-Fi
    £297

I bought one for the bedroom the other day and it's a pretty smart TV.

If you need one that really is LESS than 32", the next one down is a 30" of which you probably won't find any TV that is worth having, which will meet your needs.

Is £9 over budget but has everything on your list except built in wi fi. You could just add a cheap wi fi bridge and that would be sorted too.

Comes with 5 year warranty included in the price.

Just got the same from John Lewis for £299 for the extra warranty and agree it does almost all that was asked in the OP

Thanks for the suggestions so far. The <32" requirement is due to where it will be wall mounted, there's room for a unit that is 70cm wide, but no more.
Wifi is preferred over Ethernet so that I don't need to get heat resistant cable which will have to be run close to a wood burner.
